Commercial Refrigeration Units are large cabinets which have be insulated to keep cold air in, they will also have been fitted with a compressor or an electric pump to move liquid around the cooling bars (this is a refrigerant liquid created just for this cooling process). When opening a fridge door cold air is let out and warm air from your kitchen or warehouse is also let in, this is what triggers the pump in your commercial refrigeration unit to let it know when to pump the refrigerant liquid around cooling the commercial refrigeration units internat temperature back down and keeping all your food safe.
Both Commercial Refrigeration Chiller Units and Domestic/Home Refrigerations Units may look very much the same but they are not.
Domestic Refrigeration Units - have a lower powered compressor as they are only design to be opened a few time during the day as most house holds would not be in and out the refrigerator much more then this. The lower powered compressors are able to deal with the heat loss when doors are opened without safety risks to your homes food. Not only are the insides of a domestic refrigerator not as strong but also the refrigerators cabinet is only constructed for light home use. These means to use a domestic refrigeration unit as a commercial refrigeration unit would not only need to be replaced far more then a commercial refrigerator making them 100% NOT cost effective but it would also pose a very big safety hazard.
Commercial Refrigeration Units - are designed to be exposed to a much hotter kitchen envroment and to have the door opened at more regular intervals exposing them to the busy working envroments heat. Commercial refrigeration units have a much stronger compressor as they need to repidly cool down the commercial refrigeration units internal temperature to replace extra hot air from the commercial kitchen.
Fans are also fitted into most commercial refrigeration units to evenly spread the cool air to all the large cabinet, domestic refrigeration units do not have this extra feature which is essential to an commercial refrigeration units envorment. Better insulation is also used on commercial refrigeration units, they are designed with easy cleaning in mind and some have the option of electronically recording temperatures (this is so that if a food poising claim is made it can be used as proof of due dilligence in food safety procedures). Commercial refrigeration Walk In Cold Rooms and also be fitted to fit a kitchens specific area and design.
