polar-c-series-upright-fridge-hook-of-lock
Polar C-Series Upright Fridge Replacement Hook Lock

This is the genuine Polar replacement hook lock for the C-Series range of upright refrigerators, specifically compatible with the white 400-litre and stainless steel 400-litre models. It is a straightforward like-for-like replacement part, designed to restore the original door closure mechanism when the existing lock becomes worn, damaged, or fails to hold correctly.

In a working commercial kitchen, a fridge door that does not latch securely is more than an inconvenience. It compromises temperature stability, increases compressor running time, and risks food safety compliance. Fitting the correct manufacturer part rather than a generic substitute ensures the door sits flush and the seal engages properly, maintaining the performance the unit was designed to deliver.

Fitting is a practical task for anyone familiar with basic appliance maintenance. The part is a direct replacement, so no modifications or additional components are typically required. If the door has been misaligned through heavy use or an impact, it is worth checking the hinge condition at the same time, as a damaged hinge can accelerate wear on a new lock.

This part is suited to operators running Polar PC003 or PC004 upright fridges who need to carry out a straightforward repair rather than replace the unit. Keeping a spare on hand is worth considering in kitchens where the fridge is in constant use and downtime would be disruptive.

If you are unsure whether this is the correct part for your unit, or if the door issue points to a wider problem, the team is happy to help you work through it before you order.
