At 85ml, it is sized for espresso service and sits at the smaller end of the Concorde cup offering.

In a busy hospitality environment, durability is as important as appearance. These cups are made from fully vitrified hard porcelain, which resists moisture absorption and holds up well under the repeated thermal cycling of a commercial dishwasher. The rolled edge is a practical design detail — it distributes impact stress more evenly around the rim, reducing the likelihood of chipping during handling, stacking, and washing. Steelite backs this with a chip-edge guarantee, which is useful for operators managing ongoing replacement costs.

A few practical points worth noting for day-to-day use:

Matte noir finish suits casual dining, café, and contemporary restaurant settings

Stackable design supports compact storage behind the counter or in cupboards

Compatible with other items in the Concorde range for mixed stacking

Safe for microwave, dishwasher, oven, and freezer use

Supplied in a pack of 12, suited to building or replenishing existing cover sets

The matte finish is worth considering in context — it photographs well and reads as considered on the table, but matte glazes can show watermarks more readily than a high-gloss finish in hard-water areas, so rinsing practice and dishwasher settings may be worth reviewing.

These cups are best suited to cafés, restaurants, and hotel operations running espresso-based menus where presentation matters alongside durability.
