Made from reclaimed natural fibre with no added PFAS, they are part of the Nourish range and come with a pre-formed straw hole. The 1,000-unit pack is the standard catering quantity for busy takeaway and café operations.

In practice, moulded fibre lids like these are used wherever operators need a compostable alternative to conventional plastic dome lids — coffee shops, café counters, event catering, and contract catering services running cold drink offerings. They sit securely on compatible 89-series cups and hold up adequately under normal cold-drink service conditions. As with all fibre-based lids, they are not intended for hot beverages or prolonged exposure to moisture.

The key operational considerations are straightforward:

Certified for home composting, supporting waste stream separation where facilities allow

PFAS-free construction — increasingly relevant for operators reviewing chemical content in disposables

Compatible exclusively with Vegware 89-series cold cups — check your current cup series before ordering

White finish suits most branded cup presentations without modification

Pack of 1,000 suits moderate to high-volume cold drink service

These lids are a practical choice for operators committed to reducing single-use plastic without moving away from a familiar dome-lid format. They are best suited to sites already using Vegware 89-series cups as part of a wider compostable packaging system. Operators running very high cold-drink volumes may want to consider storage space for 1,000-unit packs before ordering in bulk.

If you're reviewing your full disposables range or unsure which Vegware cup and lid combination suits your service, we're happy to talk it through.

https://www.advantage-catering-equipment.co.uk/products/vegware-nourish-moulded-fibre-cold-cup-dome-lids-with-hole-89-series-1000-pack
