The Churchill Raku Trace Plate is a large round plate finished in jade green with a reactive glaze. Because the glaze responds to the kiln environment during firing, no two pieces come out identical — each carries its own subtle variation in tone and texture. This is a deliberate design characteristic rather than a quality inconsistency, and it gives a table setting a considered, artisan quality without requiring hand-thrown pottery.

Made from super vitrified china, the plates are built to handle the mechanical demands of commercial service. Super vitrified bodies are significantly harder and more chip-resistant than standard vitrified ware, which matters in kitchens where plates cycle through service, clearing, and the dishwasher dozens of times a day.
