About Us

Advantage Catering Equipment is a family-run supplier, installer and servicer of commercial kitchen equipment. We were founded in 2001 by an engineer and a salesman with over 40 years of combined experience in the UK hospitality industry. From day one our aim has been simple: give honest advice, supply high-quality equipment, and build commercial kitchens that work hard every day.

Based in Folkestone, Kent, we supply and deliver across the whole of the UK. Over the years we have grown from a specialist in refurbished warewashing into a full-service partner for hospitality businesses, handling everything from a single replacement machine to the design, installation and aftercare of a complete kitchen.

Our story and industry insight

Back in 2001 we spotted a clear gap in the market. There was plenty of low-quality refurbished glasswashing and dishwashing equipment being sold online, but very few professionally refurbished machines, and almost none supplied with a meaningful warranty.

We set out to change that. In our first year alone we sold nearly 200 refurbished commercial machines, which proved there was real demand for quality equipment backed by genuine expertise. Customers valued the machines, but they valued the knowledge and care behind every recommendation just as much.

Growth through demand and innovation

As demand grew, sourcing good refurbishable equipment became harder, which was a clear sign of our success. That momentum led us to launch our first eCommerce website, a bold step at the time that challenged how the trade thought about selling online. What was once frowned upon is now standard practice.

Listening to our growing and loyal customer base, we widened our range. In 2007 we began building new supplier partnerships and expanding our expertise across the full spectrum of commercial catering equipment, from cooking and refrigeration to warewashing, preparation and food service.
