The blue powder-coat finish is applied to a welded steel frame with reinforced doors, and the sloping top discourages items being left or stored on top of the unit.

Combination locks mean new staff can be given a code rather than a physical key, and there is no cost or delay associated with lost keys or lock replacement. The welded plinth between compartment doors adds a degree of inter-compartment rigidity and makes forced access more difficult.
