Product Description
The Dudson Evo Jet deep plate is part of the Evo range, which takes its visual cues from hand-thrown pottery — an uneven, tactile rim profile and a dark, matte-toned glaze that sits comfortably on informal dining tables. The deep plate format gives a reasonable well depth for dishes where a little sauce or dressing needs containing, without the plate becoming impractically heavy to carry.
Made from vitrified stoneware, these plates are built to withstand the daily rigours of commercial service — stacking, dishwasher cycling, and the general handling that comes with a busy cover count. Vitrified stoneware is denser and less porous than standard earthenware, which means it resists chipping and crazing better over time, and it holds heat reasonably well once warmed. That said, it is heavier than porcelain equivalents, which is worth considering for front-of-house teams handling high volumes at pace.
- Vitrified stoneware construction resists chipping and crazing in daily service
- Hand-thrown aesthetic suits relaxed, informal, and bistro-style dining concepts
- Deep plate profile contains sauced dishes and dressings effectively
- Dishwasher safe for efficient turnaround between covers
- Supplied in packs of four, practical for smaller builds or top-up orders
These plates are well suited to cafés, gastropubs, bistros, and casual dining restaurants where the rustic, artisan aesthetic fits the front-of-house concept. They are less suited to high-volume, fast-turnaround operations where the weight of stoneware can slow service or increase breakage rates. Packs of four are useful for topping up an existing Evo Jet service or trialling the range before committing to a larger order.
If you are building out a full table setting or unsure whether the Evo Jet range fits your concept and cover volume, the team is happy to talk it through with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Vitrified stoneware is durable and well proven in commercial use, but it is heavier than porcelain. In very high-volume operations where speed of handling is critical, the additional weight can slow service and marginally increase the risk of breakage through fatigue. For fast-paced environments, it is worth considering whether a lighter porcelain alternative might be more practical.
- Yes, the Evo Jet deep plate is dishwasher safe and suitable for use in commercial warewashing machines. As with all glazed stoneware, consistent use of correct detergent concentrations and rinse aid will help maintain the glaze finish and extend the life of the plate.
- The plates are sold in packs of four, which works well for top-up orders or trialling the range. For a full restaurant fit-out, it is worth speaking with the team about quantity requirements, as we can advise on cover multiples and what a typical service build looks like for your volume.
