In everyday service, the ST2450 handles the extraction demands associated with lighter cooking loads — fryers, grills, and similar counter-top equipment — where a compact footprint matters as much as function. It is not designed for heavy-duty extraction above solid-top ranges or high-output equipment running continuously at full capacity, and operators with more intensive cooking lines should consider a heavier-duty alternative.

The canopy uses baffle filters to capture airborne grease before it reaches the ductwork, which reduces maintenance frequency and helps keep the extraction system working efficiently over time. A fat collection drawer sits beneath the filters to catch drips, keeping the canopy cleaner between service periods. Cleaning is straightforward: baffle filters can go in a commercial dishwasher, and the body wipes down easily with a damp cloth.
