The Designline Drop-In Multideck is a self-service refrigerated display unit designed to sit within a countertop installation. At 1525mm wide, it accommodates three adjustable toughened glass shelves above a 4 x 1/1 GN cold well, giving operators both eye-level display space and additional chilled capacity at the base. The underslung condensing unit is ventilated through air grilles and a rear vent supplied with the unit, so the visible display remains clean and uncluttered.

The unit holds a food core temperature between -1°C and 5°C and is built for 24-hour continuous operation, making it practical wherever chilled food or drink needs to be on display throughout the trading day. Recovery after restocking is steady, and the consistent temperature across both the shelved display and the GN well supports food safety compliance during busy service periods. The R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant charge is relatively low, which helps keep running costs down and reduces environmental impact compared with older refrigerant types.

From an operational standpoint, the design reduces everyday maintenance demands:

Installation requires a wall-sited countertop with sufficient clearance for the rear vent and underslung condensing unit. The unit arrives with air inlet grilles, rear vent, lifting kit, and a 2m lead and plug top, so it can be connected to a standard 13A supply without specialist electrical work in most cases. At 195kg, a suitable lifting arrangement is needed during installation — the included lifting kit should be used as directed. The 70.7dB noise rating is worth considering for quieter retail or café environments where ambient noise levels are low.

This multideck suits delis, cafés, convenience stores, staff restaurants, and catering operations where self-service chilled display is needed within an existing countertop or servery. It works well at moderate to high service volumes. Sites requiring a narrower footprint or lower throughput may find a smaller unit more appropriate, while very high-volume operations with extensive chilled ranges may want to consider a larger-capacity model.
