Product Description
The Classeq C500 is a UK-manufactured undercounter dishwasher designed for commercial sites that need reliable, consistent washing performance without the complexity of a larger pass-through machine. It accepts a 500x500mm rack, handles up to 18 standard dinner plates per load, and can turn around up to 40 racks per hour — giving most operators a practical throughput of around 500 or more plates per hour during a full service.
In practice, the C500 performs well in kitchens where the dishwasher runs continuously through a lunch or dinner service. The rinse booster pump maintains water pressure and temperature at the rinse stage, which is where many cheaper machines fall short. The result is consistently clean, spot-free crockery without operators having to intervene or re-run loads. The double-skinned construction keeps noise levels reasonable in open or semi-open kitchen environments.
From an operational standpoint, the C500 offers several features that make day-to-day use straightforward:
- Two wash cycle options allow staff to match the cycle to the soil level, saving water and energy on lighter loads
- Click-in, click-out wash arms can be removed without tools for cleaning, reducing the time needed for end-of-day breakdown
- Bluetooth connectivity via a companion app provides access to machine settings, usage data and guidance without needing a service engineer on site for routine queries
- Moulded interior surfaces minimise residue build-up and are straightforward to wipe down
The C500 in this configuration runs on a standard 13A single-phase supply, which means it can be installed without dedicated wiring in most existing commercial premises — a practical advantage for smaller sites or those operating in listed buildings where electrical upgrades are difficult. It does require a plumbed water supply and a drain connection. One important consideration: in medium or hard water areas, an external water softener is required to protect the machine and maintain wash quality. The C500 is also available with an integrated water softener if that suits your setup better.
The C500 is well suited to cafés, gastropubs, small restaurants, hotel bars, and similar sites with moderate to busy covers. For higher-volume operations running multiple sittings or large banquet-style services, a higher-capacity machine would be worth considering. Equally, for very low-volume sites, a smaller or simpler unit may offer a better balance of cost and capacity.
If you're unsure whether the C500 is the right fit for your service volume or whether your water supply will need additional treatment, we're happy to talk it through before you commit to an order.

Frequently Asked Questions
- At up to 40 racks per hour, the C500 is well matched to small and medium-sized restaurants, cafés and pubs with moderate to busy covers. If your site runs multiple large sittings back to back, or you're regularly turning tables for more than 80 to 100 covers per service, it's worth discussing whether a higher-capacity pass-through machine would give you more headroom.
- In medium or hard water areas — which covers a significant portion of England — an external water softener is required to protect the machine's internal components and maintain wash quality over time. Running the machine without one in hard water areas will shorten its service life and affect results. The C500 is available as a package with an integrated water softener if you'd prefer a neater installation.
- The 13A single-phase configuration is one of the more straightforward commercial dishwasher installations — it runs from a standard socket without the need for dedicated wiring or a three-phase supply. You will still need a plumbed cold water feed and a suitable drain connection. If your site has low water pressure or an unusually restricted drainage setup, it's worth checking those details before ordering.
