Polar C-Series Under Counter Freezer 140Ltr Stainless Steel

Product No: CD081

Product Description

The Polar C-Series under counter freezer is a compact, stainless steel freezer designed to sit beneath a worksurface and provide reliable frozen storage where floor space is limited. It operates across a temperature range suitable for standard frozen food storage and carries an A energy rating, making it a sensible choice where running costs matter in a smaller operation.

In terms of day-to-day performance, the C-Series is built for environments where the unit is accessed periodically rather than constantly throughout a busy service. It performs reliably in ambient conditions up to 32°C, which covers most standard kitchen and back-of-house environments. It is not, however, a unit intended for high-traffic pass-through kitchens where a freezer door is opening and closing dozens of times per hour — in those settings, a more robust upright or counter-height model would be the better long-term investment.

From an operational standpoint, the practical advantages are straightforward:

  • Stainless steel exterior cleans down quickly and stands up to the knocks of daily kitchen life
  • A-rated energy performance helps keep electricity costs manageable over time
  • Under-counter footprint allows installation beneath an existing prep surface, preserving usable floor space
  • Rear castors and adjustable front feet make positioning and levelling on site straightforward
  • R600a refrigerant is a low global-warming-potential option, increasingly preferred where sustainability matters

Installation is uncomplicated — the unit requires a standard single-phase mains connection and adequate ventilation around the casing to allow the refrigeration system to dissipate heat effectively. At 44kg it can be moved by two people without specialist equipment, though care should be taken on uneven flooring. It is not designed for outdoor or unheated storage environments.

The C-Series under counter freezer is well suited to smaller cafés, sandwich bars, small hotel kitchens, or as a supplementary freezer in a larger kitchen where additional storage is needed without committing significant floor space. It is also a practical option for back-office or dry-store areas where occasional frozen storage is required. For sites with heavier demand or frequent door access throughout service, a larger or higher-specification model from our refrigeration range would be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this unit matches the demands of your kitchen, our team is happy to talk through the options with you before you place an order.
