Polar G-Series Countertop Prep Fridge 10x 1/4GN

Product No: G611

Product Description

The Polar G-Series countertop prep fridge is a refrigerated servery unit designed to keep portioned ingredients chilled and accessible at the point of preparation or service. It holds up to ten 1/4 gastronorm pans across its full two-metre working length, making it the largest unit in the G-Series countertop range. A full-length sneeze screen is fitted as standard, sitting above the pan zone to maintain hygiene during service without interrupting access to the pans below.

In a working kitchen environment, the unit performs reliably during sustained service periods. The continual evaporator design supports consistent temperature maintenance without requiring regular manual defrost intervention, which reduces downtime and keeps the unit performing steadily through busy shifts. The 304 stainless steel construction handles the rigours of daily commercial use and wipes down cleanly, which matters in environments where cross-contamination risk needs to be managed carefully.

Practical operational advantages include:

  • Ten 1/4GN pan positions across a full-length countertop for high-throughput ingredient access
  • Full-length sneeze screen maintains food hygiene compliance during open service
  • Continual evaporator reduces manual maintenance and keeps temperatures stable
  • Digital temperature display allows straightforward monitoring and adjustment
  • 304 stainless steel body is durable and easy to keep clean between services

At two metres wide and 70kg, this unit requires a stable, level countertop or preparation surface capable of bearing the load. It runs on a standard single-phase supply and uses R600a refrigerant, which has lower environmental impact than older refrigerants. The unit is rated for ambient conditions up to 32°C, making it suitable for most commercial kitchen environments, though in particularly hot kitchens it is worth confirming ambient temperatures before installation. Access for servicing should be considered when positioning the unit.

This unit is best suited to busy sandwich bars, pizza preparation lines, carvery stations, and high-volume food service operations where a wide range of chilled ingredients needs to be kept accessible throughout service. It is the largest in the G-Series countertop range, so it suits operations with significant throughput. For lower-volume sites or tighter countertop spaces, smaller configurations within the range may be more appropriate.

If you are unsure whether this unit is the right fit for your preparation workflow or kitchen layout, the team is happy to talk it through with you before you commit to a purchase.
