Polar G-Series Single Door Slimline GN Cabinet Freezer

Product No: UA114

Product Description

The Polar G-Series Slimline Cabinet Freezer is a single-door upright freezer designed for commercial kitchens where floor space is limited but storage capacity cannot be compromised. Built in stainless steel inside and out, it offers 292 litres of usable frozen storage in a notably narrower footprint than a standard upright cabinet — making it a practical option for smaller kitchens, narrow service corridors, and back-of-house areas where a full-width unit simply won't fit.

Forced air cooling circulates cold air evenly throughout the cabinet, which helps maintain consistent temperatures even during busy service periods when the door is opened frequently. The unit operates within the -18°C to -22°C range required for safe frozen food storage in a commercial setting. Automatic defrost removes the need for manual intervention and helps keep the unit performing reliably without adding to the kitchen team's workload.

From a practical standpoint, this cabinet offers a number of features that translate well into day-to-day kitchen operation:

  • Full 1/1 GN compatibility makes it straightforward to organise and rotate frozen stock using standard gastronorm containers
  • Three adjustable shelves allow the interior to be configured around what's being stored
  • A reversible door means it can be installed to suit the layout of the space, rather than working around it
  • Built-in castors make it straightforward to move for deep cleaning or when the kitchen layout changes
  • A self-closing door reduces the risk of temperature creep during a busy service

Installation is relatively straightforward — the unit runs on a standard single-phase supply and does not require a dedicated water connection or external drainage. At 110kg it will need more than one person to position safely, and the castors are suited to level floors. The slimline dimensions mean it fits comfortably in spaces where a standard 600mm-wide upright would not, but it is worth confirming the available clearance before ordering, particularly for ventilation around the condenser. The unit carries a climate class 5 rating, meaning it is suitable for use in warmer kitchen environments up to around 40°C.

This freezer is well suited to cafés, smaller restaurants, sandwich bars, and hotel kitchens where frozen storage is needed but space is genuinely constrained. It works equally well as a secondary freezer in larger operations where an additional unit is needed in a prep or service area. For high-volume sites with significant frozen stock requirements, a larger-capacity upright cabinet may be a more efficient long-term choice.

If you're unsure whether the capacity and footprint of this unit are the right match for your kitchen, we're happy to talk it through before you commit to an order.
