It is designed to provide high-volume refrigerated storage where a standard upright refrigerator or under-counter unit simply cannot meet the demand — particularly in kitchens that receive regular deliveries of fresh produce, dairy, or prepared ingredients and need a single, accessible, walk-in storage point.

In busy service environments, consistent temperature maintenance is critical. This unit uses forced-air cooling that keeps the internal temperature stable even when the door is opened frequently throughout a shift, and the system is rated to operate reliably in ambient conditions up to 43°C — relevant for kitchens where summer heat or proximity to cooking lines puts refrigeration units under greater strain. The galvanised steel, aluminium, and plastic construction is well suited to the kind of daily wear a working cold room receives.

From a practical standpoint, several design details make day-to-day operation easier:

For outdoor installation, a weather-resistant roof section is available separately and should be considered as part of the specification. Racking and shelving are not included and must be ordered in addition to the unit itself.

This model is well suited to mid-sized catering operations — pub kitchens, independent restaurants, hotel banqueting, school catering, and similar sites where bulk chilled storage is needed but space is limited.
