EAIS Gastro 1/1 Trolleys – Full Height & Low Level

Product No: PGLL-1/1-7

Product Description

These EAIS Gastronorm 1/1 trolleys are straightforward, welded stainless steel units designed for the storage and movement of full-size gastronorm trays in commercial kitchen environments. Two configurations are available: a full height version offered in 10, 15, or 20-tier arrangements, and a lower-level model with 7 tiers and an integrated solid worktop. The choice between them generally comes down to the volume of trays being handled and the workflow requirements of the kitchen.

In day-to-day service, trolleys like these are subject to constant loading, unloading, and movement across hard kitchen floors. The fully welded stainless steel construction is important here — it removes the risk of joints loosening over time, which is a common failure point on lighter-built alternatives. The 125mm castors with bumpers handle movement through service corridors and back-of-house areas reasonably well, and the bumpers offer a degree of protection to walls and surrounding equipment during busy periods.

  • Retaining edges front and rear on each tray slide prevent trays shifting in transit
  • Low level model includes a solid worktop for use as a pass or preparation surface
  • Fully welded stainless steel construction eliminates joint failure over time
  • 125mm castors with bumpers aid manoeuvring and protect surrounding equipment
  • Multiple tier configurations allow matching to tray volume or available floor space

As mobile units, no fixed installation is required. It is worth thinking about floor surfaces and drainage channel positions when deciding where these will operate regularly — uneven or heavily channelled floors can affect stability and ease of movement. The full height models suit kitchens with adequate ceiling clearance where bulk tray storage is the priority; the low level version works well where lower access to trays is preferable, or where a combined storage and work surface is useful in a confined area.

These trolleys are well suited to central production kitchens, hospital and education catering, and banqueting operations where large numbers of gastronorm trays need to be stored and moved efficiently between preparation and service areas. For operations running exceptional tray volumes continuously, a higher-capacity or heavier-duty unit may be worth considering alongside these.

If you are weighing up which configuration works best for your kitchen layout or the volume of trays you handle, the team is happy to talk it through before you commit.
