Hobart Bonnet Minijet 6 Grid 1/1 GN Combi Oven

Product No: DB652

Product Description

The Hobart Bonnet Minijet is a six-grid combination oven built to full 1/1 GN compatibility, housed in a footprint considerably narrower than a standard combi. At 525mm wide, it is designed for kitchens where installation space is a genuine constraint — tight service kitchens, satellite prep areas, or smaller restaurants that need full combi capability without dedicating an entire bay to it.

Despite its compact dimensions, the Minijet does not trade output for size. Hobart Bonnet's CoreControl technology manages cavity temperature and steam injection with the precision you would expect from a larger unit. The AirDry+ function gives operators proper drying and crisping capability, which matters when finishing roasted or baked products where moisture control is critical. Recovery after door openings holds up reliably during busier service periods — an area where smaller ovens can sometimes struggle.

Day-to-day, the Minijet is practical to operate and maintain:

  • Full 1/1 GN compatibility means standard gastronorm trays and accessories work throughout
  • CoreControl and AirDry+ deliver precise temperature and humidity management across all cooking modes
  • Automatic cleaning cycle completes in around 17 minutes, keeping end-of-service downtime to a minimum
  • Stainless steel construction throughout supports hygiene standards and durability under regular heavy use
  • Compact 525mm width suits installations where a full-size combi cannot be accommodated

Installation requires an electrical supply sufficient for the 6.3kW load and appropriate ventilation — either connection to an extraction canopy or a ventless solution where no canopy is present above the oven position. At 74kg, the unit is manageable but will need two people to position safely. The stand is sold separately and should be factored into both the budget and space plan from the outset. A water connection is required for steam function, and depending on local supply quality, a filtration arrangement is worth considering to protect long-term performance.

The Minijet is well suited to smaller restaurants, cafés, hotel satellite kitchens, and prep kitchens where a full-size combi is not a practical option. It runs the full range of cooking modes — steam, convection, and combination — making it capable across most menu types. For high-volume main kitchens running large covers across extended services, a higher-capacity model with more grids would be a more appropriate starting point.

If you want to talk through whether the Minijet suits your kitchen layout, service volume, or installation setup, the team is always happy to have that conversation before you make a decision.
