Hatco DL-750-CL Decorative Heated Lamp for Food Servery

Product No: DL-750-CL

Product Description

The Hatco DL-750-CL is a decorative radiant heat lamp designed to keep food at serving temperature from above. It is commonly used at kitchen pass-throughs, waitress collection points, hotel buffet serveries, and front-of-house carving stations — anywhere food needs to stay warm during the brief window between preparation and service, without the confinement of an enclosed holding unit.

Radiant heat from above suits servery environments well because it warms dishes without trapping moisture in the way enclosed equipment can. For carved meats, buffet items, and plated dishes that need to look presentable to guests, that distinction matters in practice. The DL-750-CL is not intended to replace high-capacity holding equipment where large volumes need sustained management, but it performs reliably in settings where throughput is moderate and appearance is as important as function.

The lamp is finished in black and is typically held in stock with a cord drop of approximately 1,168mm from ceiling rose to shade base. Where an installation requires a different drop, alternative cord lengths are available to order. Hatco also offers this lamp across a broad range of configurations — including multiple powder-coated and gloss finishes, plated options, mounting arrangements, shade styles, and switch positions — making it practical to match an existing interior scheme. Non-stock configurations generally carry a lead time of around six weeks, so early specification is advisable for new builds or refurbishments.

Operationally, the key considerations are ceiling height, the distance from lamp to food surface, and the electrical supply available at the servery point. The lamp requires a suitable ceiling fixing and should be positioned to deliver consistent heat coverage across the serving area without creating hotspots on individual dishes.

This lamp is well suited to lower-volume front-of-house servery points, hotel buffet counters, and carving stations where a degree of decorative finish is expected alongside the functional requirement. For high-throughput production passes where maximum heat output is the priority and aesthetics are secondary, a heavier-duty strip or gantry arrangement is likely to be more appropriate.

If you are specifying a new servery installation or are uncertain which configuration will suit your space and service style, our team are happy to talk it through before you commit to an order.
