No electrical connection is required — the unit operates entirely on water pressure, which keeps installation reasonably straightforward alongside most under-counter or pass-through dishwasher setups.

Hard water is one of the more consistent causes of early dishwasher deterioration in commercial kitchens. Scale builds gradually on heating elements, spray arms, and pump components, reducing wash performance and increasing energy consumption well before a machine reaches the end of its working life. The resin bed that captures hardness minerals will exhaust over time and requires periodic regeneration using salt. How frequently that is needed depends on your local water hardness level and the daily volume your machine processes — sites with very hard water or high throughput will regenerate more often. It is also worth noting that this unit is intended specifically for dishwashers and glasswashers; it is not appropriate for ice machines, coffee equipment, or combi ovens, which require different filtration treatment.
