Sammic SAS-5001 Floor-Standing Cutlery Dryer-Polisher

Product No: 1370042

Product Description

The Sammic SAS-5001 is a floor-standing, fully automatic cutlery dryer-polisher designed for commercial operations where cutlery throughput is a consistent service pressure. Washed cutlery feeds into the machine, passes through a drying and polishing cycle that also removes limescale residue, and exits service-ready without manual handling at that stage. The continuous carousel process is what sets this class of machine apart from smaller countertop polishers, which pause between batches.

In high-volume back-of-house environments, manual polishing at scale is slow, inconsistent, and draws staff away from other tasks during the periods when they are needed most. The SAS-5001 keeps pieces moving steadily through the cycle and includes a germicidal UVC lamp that adds a sterilisation step between warewashing and the pass. For operations running several hundred covers, or where presentation standards are monitored closely, that combination of hygiene and consistency carries real operational value.

The practical advantages for busy operations typically include:

  • Continuous automatic processing that reduces reliance on manual polishing labour
  • Consistent output quality regardless of staffing levels or shift changes
  • Integrated limescale removal that reduces rejected pieces before service
  • UVC sterilisation built into the polishing cycle as a hygiene step
  • Robust stainless steel construction suited to demanding warewashing environments

As a floor-standing machine, the SAS-5001 requires a dedicated footprint within your warewashing or back-of-house area, along with adequate clearance for loading and unloading. It is worth confirming available space and power supply before proceeding, particularly where the warewashing section is already working hard. For operations with more modest cutlery volumes, a countertop polisher is likely a better fit both practically and economically. At the other end of the scale, very large central production or high-frequency events kitchens may find a higher-capacity model better suited to their throughput demands.

The SAS-5001 is well suited to hotel food and beverage operations, large à la carte restaurants, banqueting and events kitchens, and contract catering sites where labour efficiency and presentation consistency need to work alongside each other. It is less likely to be the right choice for smaller independent sites where manual polishing remains manageable at the volumes involved.

If you would like to talk through whether this model matches your service volumes and kitchen layout, we are happy to work through it with you.
