Parry PGG7 Gas Griddle | Flat Steel Plate

Product No: PGG7

Product Description

The Parry PGG7 is a countertop gas griddle fitted with a polished steel cooking plate. It runs on either natural gas or LPG, which makes it a practical option for kitchens where the gas supply type is not fixed, or where the unit needs to be positioned away from a permanent mains connection. Thermostatic control allows the operator to set a plate temperature and hold it consistently across service, rather than relying on manual adjustment.

In a working kitchen, the steel plate performs reliably across a broad range of items — bacon, eggs, burgers, halloumi, flat breads and similar products that benefit from direct contact with a flat, even surface. The thermostat supports consistent output when orders come through quickly and reduces the risk of burning during quieter periods between rushes. It is not a high-output unit designed for continuous multi-cover service, but within its capacity it handles a steady breakfast or lunch trade dependably.

From a day-to-day operational perspective, the PGG7 offers several practical advantages:

  • Thermostatic control holds plate temperature through varied order volumes
  • Polished steel plate distributes heat evenly across the cooking surface
  • Removable fat drainage drawer makes end-of-service cleaning straightforward
  • Natural gas and LPG configurations suit different site supply setups
  • Compact countertop footprint works well on a cooking line or as a standalone unit

As a countertop unit, the PGG7 needs to be positioned on a stable surface capable of supporting its weight. All gas connections must be made by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and adequate extraction above the cooking line is a requirement rather than an option. If you are running the LPG version, appropriate cylinder storage and a correctly specified regulator are both necessary — your installer should confirm supply pressure is suitable for the configuration before the unit is commissioned.

The PGG7 is well suited to smaller catering operations: cafés, pub kitchens, hotel breakfast services, sandwich bars, and similar environments where a dependable flat-plate griddle is needed without the footprint or gas consumption of a larger model. For sites running continuous service across multiple sittings, or where throughput demands a larger plate area, a heavier-duty or double-plate alternative would be worth discussing.

If you would like to talk through whether the PGG7 is the right fit for your service volume or site setup, the team is happy to help before you commit to an order.
