The Churchill Raku Trace Plate is a large round dinner plate in jade green, finished with a reactive glaze that responds to the kiln environment during firing. Because of this process, each piece carries subtle variation in tone and surface texture — no two are identical. This is an intentional design characteristic, not a quality inconsistency, and it gives a table setting a considered, artisan quality without the fragility or cost of hand-thrown pottery.

Constructed from super vitrified china, these plates are built for the mechanical demands of commercial service. Super vitrified bodies are considerably harder and more chip-resistant than standard vitrified ware, which matters when plates are cycling through service, clearing, and an industrial dishwasher dozens of times daily. The glaze holds its appearance well across sustained heavy rotation, so a set bought together tends to remain visually consistent over time.
