Churchill
Churchill Elements Coast Espresso Saucers 118mm (Pack of 12)
£61.74(£74.09 inc VAT)
The Churchill Elements Coast espresso saucer is part of a tableware range designed around the natural texture and character of ceramic clay. Finished in a semi-matte glaze with a rustic radial pattern, the Coast colourway draws on coastal landscapes to create a grounded, earthy aesthetic that pairs well with contemporary café and restaurant settings.
In a busy service environment, tableware takes a significant amount of punishment — constant handling, stacking, dishwasher cycling, and the occasional knock. Churchill manufactures these saucers using a super vitrified body, which gives the ceramic a denser, harder structure than standard porcelain. This translates to noticeably better chip resistance over repeated use, which matters when you're running multiple covers a day and cycling crockery through a commercial dishwasher continuously.
- Super vitrified body for improved chip resistance under daily commercial use
- Semi-matte rustic glaze maintains an attractive appearance across repeated wash cycles
- Dishwasher safe — compatible with commercial rack and conveyor dishwashers
- Consistent sizing supports pairing with matching espresso cups from the Elements range
- Supplied in a pack of 12, suited to par stock planning for café and restaurant operations
There are no unusual storage or handling requirements beyond standard crockery practice — stack carefully to avoid glaze-on-glaze abrasion over time, and ensure dishwasher chemical concentrations are within the manufacturer's recommended range to protect the finish. The matte-effect glaze can show water spotting more readily than a high-gloss alternative, so rinse-aid dosing is worth checking if presentation is a priority.
These saucers are well suited to café operators, hotel breakfast and lounge services, and restaurants with a specialty coffee offering. They work particularly well where a natural or artisan aesthetic is part of the overall table setting. For venues running very high espresso volumes, it is worth considering a larger opening quantity to maintain adequate par stock during peak periods.
If you're building out a full table setting or matching to existing Churchill ranges, we're happy to help check compatibility or discuss pack quantities before you order.

Frequently asked questions
Are these saucers compatible with Churchill Elements Coast espresso cups?
Yes — the Elements Coast range is designed as a coordinated collection, so the saucers are sized and styled to pair with the matching espresso cups. If you're building a full espresso cover, it's worth confirming cup and saucer quantities together to ensure consistent par stock across the set.
How well does the semi-matte glaze hold up in a high-volume dishwasher environment?
The super vitrified body helps the glaze resist the thermal and mechanical stress of commercial dishwashing. That said, matte-effect finishes can be more susceptible to marking if rinse-aid dosing is off or detergent concentrations are too high, so it's worth reviewing your dishwasher settings if you notice any dulling of the finish over time.
How many packs would a typical café need to open with?
That depends on your cover count, turnaround time, and dishwasher cycle frequency, but as a general guide many operators aim for two to three times their peak seated cover count in crockery to allow for items in use, in the wash, and in reserve. If you'd like a hand working through the numbers for your operation, feel free to get in touch.
