The Utopia Apero is a stemmed cocktail glass designed for venues that take their cocktail presentation seriously. Made from lead-free crystal, it offers the clarity and light refraction of traditional crystal without the handling concerns associated with lead content — a practical consideration for busy bar environments where glassware turns over quickly.

At 340ml, the glass provides a sensible working capacity for most classic and contemporary cocktail builds, leaving sufficient room for ice, garnishes, and layered ingredients without risking spillage during service. The dimensions suit a wide range of cocktail styles, from spirit-forward drinks served straight up to longer builds with fresh ingredients.

For bar operators, a few practical points are worth noting:

  • Lead-free crystal construction allows commercial glasswasher use without the fragility concerns of some decorative glassware
  • Consistent sizing across a pack of 24 supports uniform presentation and straightforward stock rotation
  • The stemmed format keeps hands away from the bowl, helping maintain drink temperature during service
  • Clear crystal maximises visual impact of coloured cocktails and garnishes without distortion
  • Lightweight enough for high-volume service without adding unnecessary strain during long shifts

These glasses are well suited to cocktail bars, hotel bar programmes, and restaurant venues running a dedicated cocktail menu. For establishments serving very high volumes or operating in environments with higher breakage rates, it is worth considering whether a more robust or larger-pack option would offer better value over time.

If you are unsure whether this glass suits your specific service style or are speccing glassware across multiple covers, the team is happy to talk through the options with you.

Frequently asked questions

Are these glasses suitable for use in a commercial glasswasher?

Lead-free crystal is generally more compatible with commercial glasswasher cycles than leaded crystal, though as with all glassware, using appropriate rack systems and avoiding thermal shock will extend service life. Check your glasswasher manufacturer's guidance on cycle temperatures for delicate glassware.

Is a pack of 24 sufficient for a full cocktail bar service?

That depends on your cover count and how quickly glasses are turned around. For a small venue running 20 to 30 covers, 24 glasses is a reasonable starting point, but most operators running a dedicated cocktail menu would hold two to three packs in circulation to account for breakage and glasswasher cycle times.

What cocktail styles is the 340ml Apero glass best suited to?

The 340ml capacity works well for most classic and contemporary cocktails — including Martinis, Cosmopolitans, and shorter builds served straight up — where a standard-to-generous pour with garnish is the norm. It is less suited to very large-format drinks or those requiring a deep bowl for muddled ingredients.
