Churchill Vintage Prints Med Tiles Aquamarine Coupe Plates 288mm (Pack of 12)

The Churchill Med Tiles plate is a 288mm coupe plate finished in the Aquamarine colourway of the Vintage Prints range. The Med Tiles pattern draws on the geometric tile work found across Moorish architecture in Spain, Portugal and North Africa — the worn, aged quality of the print is intentional, giving each piece a handcrafted character rather than a uniform, mass-produced appearance. Because the design uses a reactive printing process, no two plates are exactly alike, which tends to read well on the pass and adds visual interest to a plated dish without the kitchen needing to do anything extra.

The plates are produced in Churchill's super vitrified ceramic body, which is the material of choice across much of the UK hospitality sector for good reason. Super vitrified ceramic is considerably more resistant to chipping, crazing and general service wear than standard porcelain, and it holds up well under the daily cycle of commercial dishwashers, stacking and busy service periods. For operators who want a characterful, printed plate without sacrificing durability, this type of body strikes a practical balance.

Practical points worth noting for front-of-house operations:

• Reactive print means each plate has a genuinely individual appearance
• Super vitrified body resists chipping during stacking and dishwasher cycling
• Coupe profile suits modern plating styles across a range of cuisines
• 288mm diameter is a versatile size for main course and sharing portions
• Supplied in a pack of 12, suited to building or supplementing existing cover counts

The 288mm coupe format works across a broad range of service styles — it sits comfortably as a main plate in most table settings and is proportionate for both composed plating and more relaxed sharing concepts. The Aquamarine colourway is relatively distinctive, so it tends to work best where operators have a considered aesthetic in mind rather than a neutral backdrop.

Churchill's Vintage Prints range spans several patterns and colourways, so if the Med Tiles design is the right fit but you need a different size or a higher pack quantity, there are options worth exploring. If you are building covers from scratch or matching to an existing table scheme, it is worth having a conversation before ordering to make sure the colourway and profile sit well with your wider crockery selection — we are happy to talk that through.
