Merrychef High Speed Ovens

The Merrychef ConneX 12e is a countertop accelerated cooking oven that combines microwave energy with other heat sources to cook, reheat, grill, and toast significantly faster than conventional ovens. It is designed for food service operations that need to turn around hot food quickly without the complexity or cost of a full ventilated cooking suite.

In a busy service environment, speed and consistency matter equally. The ConneX 12e is built to deliver repeatable results across a high volume of covers, reducing ticket times for hot snacks, reheated dishes, toasted items, and light cooked food. Its programmable easyTouch 2.0 controller stores recipes as icon-driven presets, which means staff can produce consistent results without needing detailed cooking knowledge — a practical advantage in kitchens with high turnover or variable staffing levels.

From an operational standpoint, the key advantages include:

• Ventless operation — no extraction canopy required, simplifying placement
• Standard 13-amp plug connection — no electrical installation works needed
• Compact countertop footprint — preserves worktop and floor space
• Icon-driven controls — minimal training required for new staff
• Broad menu range — handles reheating, grilling, toasting, and cooking in one unit

Because the ConneX 12e runs from a standard 13-amp socket and requires no overhead ventilation, it can be positioned almost anywhere a suitable surface and power outlet exist. This makes it a practical choice for locations where conventional cooking equipment cannot easily be installed — front-of-house serveries, small back-of-house areas, or satellite food service points. It is worth noting that, as with all accelerated ovens, cavity size limits the portion volume per cycle, so very high throughput operations may need to consider whether a single unit is sufficient.

The ConneX 12e is well suited to cafés, coffee shops, quick-service restaurants, workplace catering, travel hospitality, and any operation offering a focused hot food menu. It works particularly well where hot food is a complement to an existing offer rather than the primary kitchen output. For sites with greater volume demands or a wider cooked-to-order menu, a higher-capacity accelerated oven may be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether the ConneX 12e fits your service model or want to discuss how it would work alongside your existing equipment, our team is happy to talk it through with you.

The Merrychef Eikon E5C is a high-speed accelerated cooking oven that combines microwave energy, convection heat, and impingement airflow to cook food significantly faster than a conventional oven. It is designed for commercial kitchens that need to maintain quality and consistency under sustained service pressure, and operates on a three-phase electrical supply. The cavity accepts up to 2/3 Gastronorm, making it practical for a range of portion sizes and menu applications.

In a busy service environment, speed of recovery and cooking consistency are what matter most. The E5C handles back-to-back orders without the quality drop that can occur with slower equipment during a lunch or evening rush. Its accelerated cooking technology means dishes that would typically take considerably longer in a standard oven can be plated and served in a fraction of the time, which has a direct impact on table turns and customer satisfaction in restaurant settings, and on throughput in high-volume canteen or catering operations.

From an operational standpoint, the E5C offers several practical advantages worth considering:

• Icon-driven touchscreen interface reduces reliance on skilled oven operators and speeds up staff training
• Programmable recipes help maintain consistency across different shifts and team members
• Compact countertop footprint suits kitchens where space is at a premium
• Ventless operation removes the need for a dedicated extraction canopy in many installations, though this should be confirmed with your local environmental health authority
• Wide temperature range supports diverse menu applications from bake-off pastries to protein dishes

Because the E5C runs on three-phase power, your site will need a confirmed three-phase supply before installation. This is an important early check — three-phase is common in commercial kitchens but not universal, particularly in smaller or older premises. The unit is countertop-mounted, so structural requirements are straightforward, but the electrical connection should be handled by a qualified electrician familiar with catering equipment. Ventless capability is a genuine practical benefit in many settings, but always verify with your local authority that it is appropriate for your specific installation and menu.

The E5C is well suited to full-service restaurants, hotel kitchens, staff canteens, and catering operations where speed and consistency are both priorities. It sits in the mid-range of the Merrychef Eikon line — suitable for sites with meaningful service volume, though operators running exceptionally high-throughput operations may find a higher-capacity model better matched to their demand.

If you are unsure whether the E5C is the right fit for your kitchen's service volume or electrical setup, our team is happy to talk through your requirements before you commit to a purchase.

The Merrychef Eikon E3CXX is a high speed accelerated cooking oven designed for commercial food service environments where speed and consistency across a broad menu are both essential. It combines microwave energy, convection heat, and impingement technology to cook, reheat, and brown food significantly faster than conventional oven methods — without sacrificing finish quality. The built-in turntable supports even browning across the cavity, which is a practical advantage when cooking items that would otherwise require manual rotation.

In service, the E3CXX handles a wide range of products from one unit: toasted sandwiches, baked pastries, paninis, jacket potatoes, hot snacks, and light meal items can all pass through the same oven during a busy period. The icon-driven touchscreen allows operators to store and recall programmed cook cycles, which keeps output consistent even when the unit is operated by less experienced staff. Recovery between cycles is fast enough to support steady throughput during peak hours without a holding queue building.

From an operational standpoint, the key advantages are:

• Broad menu flexibility from a single compact unit
• Programmable cook cycles that reduce reliance on staff skill level
• Fast cook times that support high-volume counter and café service
• Three-tier cavity that accommodates different product types simultaneously
• Ventless operation in many configurations, which simplifies placement

This is a three-phase model, so the electrical supply requirement needs confirming before installation. Three-phase power is standard in most commercial kitchen builds, but it is worth verifying the available supply in counter or front-of-house locations where this oven is sometimes sited. The unit requires adequate clearance around the cavity door and sufficient ventilation if positioned in an enclosed space — installation guidelines from Merrychef should be followed carefully.

The E3CXX is well suited to cafés, bars, convenience retail, travel catering, and similar operations running a snack or light meal menu at volume. It is less well suited to sites with very high throughput requiring continuous back-to-back heavy loads — for those environments, a higher-capacity accelerated cooking oven would be worth considering. Equally, lower-volume sites with a simpler menu may find a smaller model more proportionate to their needs.

If you are unsure whether the E3CXX matches your service volume or menu requirements, the team is happy to talk it through before you commit to a purchase.

The Merrychef Eikon E3CXE is a countertop high-speed oven that combines convection, microwave and impingement energy to cook, reheat and bake items significantly faster than conventional ovens. It is designed for front-of-house and back-of-house environments where speed matters and space is limited — operating from a standard single-phase supply keeps installation straightforward for most existing fit-outs.

In a busy service environment, the E3CXE earns its place by removing the queue at the pass. Sandwiches, paninis, pastries, jacket potatoes and plated dishes can be brought up to service temperature or cooked from raw in a fraction of the time a conventional oven would require. The integrated turntable promotes even browning throughout the cavity, reducing the need for manual intervention during service. The 34.4-litre cavity is practical for a countertop unit — large enough to accommodate a range of portions without the footprint of a full-size oven.

For operators, the practical advantages are considerable:

• Icon-driven touchscreen allows any team member to operate the oven with minimal training
• Programmable menu system stores consistent cook settings, reducing human error during busy periods
• Single-phase connection removes the need for three-phase supply — useful in smaller sites or listed buildings
• Compact countertop design integrates into tight service areas, grab-and-go counters and coffee bar setups
• Consistent output across shifts, regardless of who is operating it

The E3CXE runs from a single-phase supply, which suits most café, bar and convenience-style environments. It does not require external ventilation in many configurations, though placement, airflow around the unit and local authority requirements should always be confirmed before installation. The unit should sit on a stable, heat-resistant surface with adequate clearance to the sides and rear as specified by the manufacturer.

This oven is well suited to cafés, coffee shops, bars, convenience stores, hotel grab-and-go counters and smaller restaurants looking to add speed to a limited menu without committing to a high-volume combi oven. It is particularly effective where a consistent, repeatable output is needed from staff with varying levels of kitchen experience. For sites with significantly higher throughput demands or a broader cooked-to-order menu, a higher-capacity accelerated cooking oven may be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether the E3CXE is the right fit for your service volume or kitchen setup, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Merrychef Eikon E3CEE is a countertop high speed oven that combines microwave energy with impingement technology to cook, reheat and bake food significantly faster than a conventional oven. The 34.4-litre cavity is large enough to handle a genuine variety of menu items — from pastries and paninis to hot snacks and plated dishes — and the built-in turntable helps deliver consistent browning and even heat distribution throughout the cavity.

In a busy service environment, speed of throughput is often the limiting factor. The E3CEE is designed to close that gap, reducing cook times considerably compared to traditional methods and allowing operators to serve a much higher volume of covers during peak periods without adding oven capacity or extra staff. Recovery between cycles is quick, which matters in environments where orders arrive in bursts rather than a steady stream.

Practical advantages in day-to-day service include:

• Simple icon-driven touchscreen operable by any front-of-house or kitchen staff member with minimal training
• Programmable menu keys that reduce the margin for human error and maintain consistency across shifts
• Compact countertop footprint that fits into tight back-bar or servery layouts
• Temperature range from 100°C to 275°C, giving reasonable flexibility across different food types
• Standard 13 amp plug connection, removing the need for a dedicated electrical circuit or specialist installation

The 13 amp supply requirement is one of the most practical aspects of this oven. It can be positioned wherever a standard socket is available — no three-phase supply, no hardwired connection, no electrician required for a basic installation. That said, ventilation around the unit still needs consideration; the oven generates heat and requires adequate clearance. It is not designed for use with raw protein in high-volume production environments and works best where menu items are consistent and portion sizes are controlled.

The E3CEE is particularly well suited to cafes, hotel bars, convenience stores, quick-service venues and smaller hospitality operations where speed of service matters but full kitchen infrastructure is not in place. For higher-volume sites or operations needing a larger cavity and greater throughput, there are more substantial models in the Merrychef range worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this oven suits your menu, your service volumes or your site setup, we are happy to talk it through before you commit to a purchase.

The Merrychef Eikon E3XX is a high speed accelerated cooking oven designed for commercial food service environments where speed and consistency matter. It combines microwave energy with impingement and radiant heat to cook, reheat and bake food significantly faster than conventional oven methods, while still producing properly finished results across a broad range of menu items.

In service, the E3XX is well suited to continuous throughput during busy periods. Its three-tier cavity allows multiple items to be loaded simultaneously, and the built-in turntable helps ensure even browning and consistent finish across each cycle without requiring staff to intervene mid-cook. Recovery between cycles is prompt, which matters when covers are building and orders are queuing.

From an operational standpoint, the E3XX offers several practical advantages for front-of-house or servery environments:

• Icon-driven touchscreen allows any team member to operate it with minimal training
• Programmable recipes reduce reliance on individual staff skill or timing judgement
• Compact countertop footprint suits sites where space is limited
• Wide temperature range across the 34.4-litre cavity supports varied menu items from pastries to hot snacks
• Rapid cook cycles help reduce customer wait times without sacrificing food quality

The E3XX runs on a three phase electrical supply, which is an important installation consideration. Sites without existing three phase provision will need an electrical assessment before installation can proceed — this is not a unit that can be plugged into a standard single phase socket. It is a countertop unit and does not require a fixed hood extraction in most configurations, though placement in a well-ventilated area is advisable. Check with your fit-out team or electrician early in the planning process.

The E3XX is commonly used in cafes, bars, hotel serveries, convenience stores and smaller restaurant operations where the menu calls for speed across a varied range of items. It is particularly well matched to sites running high volumes of reheated or freshly prepared grab-and-go food. For operations with significantly higher throughput demands or larger cavity requirements, it is worth considering whether a higher-capacity model in the Merrychef range would be a better fit.

If you are unsure whether the E3XX is the right choice for your menu and service volumes, the team at Advantage Catering Equipment are happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Merrychef Eikon E1s is a compact countertop high speed oven that combines microwave energy with impingement air to cook food significantly faster than a conventional oven. It sits at the smaller end of the Merrychef Eikon range and is designed for operations where counter space is limited but a reliable hot food capability is still required.

In a busy service environment, speed of throughput matters. The E1s handles this by dramatically reducing cook times across a wide range of menu items — toasted sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, snacks, and light protein dishes among them. The icon-driven touchscreen allows operators and front-of-house staff to run stored programmes consistently without needing specialist training, which helps maintain output quality across a full shift and reduces variance between team members.

From a practical standpoint, one of the more significant features for many operators is the ventless design. Because it does not require a fixed extraction canopy, the E1s can be positioned in locations that would not normally accommodate a conventional oven — a café counter, a small kiosk, or a service point away from the main kitchen extract run. The Air Curtain Technology keeps the exterior surfaces cool during operation, which is a genuine consideration in tight or customer-facing spaces.

• Ventless operation removes the need for a fixed extraction hood
• Icon-based touchscreen simplifies operation for non-specialist staff
• Cool external surfaces suit confined or customer-facing environments
• Stored menu programmes support consistency across service periods
• Compact footprint fits counters where space is at a premium

The E1s is best suited to lower-volume operations — cafés, small restaurants, convenience retail, and hospitality venues running a limited hot food menu. It is not intended for high-throughput sites running continuous covers; for those environments, a larger capacity model in the Eikon range would be a more appropriate starting point.

If you are unsure whether the E1s matches your service volume or menu requirements, our team is happy to talk through the specifics before you commit.

The Merrychef Eikon E3EE is a compact high speed oven designed for foodservice operations that need to serve hot food quickly without the infrastructure of a full commercial kitchen. Running on a standard 13 amp plug, it combines microwave energy with forced air impingement to cook, reheat and finish food significantly faster than conventional oven methods. The three-tier cavity with rotating turntable supports even heat distribution across the food, and the easyTouch icon-driven touchscreen allows operators to store and recall menu programmes with minimal training.

In a busy service environment — a café counter, pub kitchen, convenience store, or hospitality back-of-house — the E3EE earns its place by turning around hot food consistently during peak periods. Because it draws on a standard 13 amp socket rather than a hard-wired supply, it can be placed almost anywhere a worktop is available, making it particularly useful where electrical infrastructure is limited or where flexibility of placement matters.

Practically speaking, this oven suits operations where the cooking task is relatively straightforward — reheating, finishing, browning, or light cooking of individually portioned items. Key operational advantages include:

• Fast throughput on individually portioned items during peak service
• No specialist electrical installation — standard 13 amp socket required
• Icon-based touchscreen keeps training time low and errors minimal
• Compact footprint suitable for counter or back-bar placement
• Temperature range up to 275°C supports browning and finishing as well as reheating

It is worth being clear about where this oven fits. The E3EE is well suited to lower-to-mid volume hot food operations. Sites with sustained high-volume output — busy restaurant kitchens or high-throughput grab-and-go counters — may find a larger capacity or more powerful model better matched to their demands. Equally, operations with very limited counter space will appreciate the compact form factor, while those needing to cook multiple portions simultaneously should consider whether the single-cavity format meets their throughput requirements.

If you are unsure whether the E3EE is the right fit for your service volumes or kitchen setup, we are happy to talk through the options before you commit to anything.
