The Olympia Square Electric Chafer is a food-holding unit designed for buffet and self-service catering. It uses an electric heating element to maintain food at the correct serving temperature throughout service, with a stainless steel body and glass-panelled lid that allows guests to identify dishes without lifting the cover and disturbing the heat.

In practice, this type of unit suits intermittent buffet service well — hotel breakfast operations, corporate lunch catering, function rooms, care home dining, and similar settings where food needs to be presented attractively and held at temperature for extended periods with minimal supervision. The 6-litre capacity works well for smaller buffet runs or as one unit within a broader buffet spread. It is not intended to replace high-volume bain-marie units on a busy kitchen service line.
