The Protect-A-Bed Allerzip Smooth is a full encasement mattress protector designed to encase the entire mattress on all six sides rather than just the top surface. Made from polyester with a waterproof membrane throughout, it is intended for environments where mattress longevity, hygiene compliance, and allergen control are ongoing operational priorities.

In hospitality settings, mattresses are exposed to far greater turnover and contamination risk than in domestic use. The Allerzip Smooth addresses this by providing a complete barrier against moisture, bodily fluids, dust mites, and bed bugs — both preventing entry and stopping any existing population from escaping. The micro-zipper and allergen flap closure is designed to eliminate the gap that standard zip encasements leave, which is a common weak point in lower-grade protectors.

Key practical features include:

• Waterproof Miracle Membrane covering all six sides of the mattress
• Allergen and bed bug barrier with BugLock Secure Seal zip closure
• Air vapour porous construction to maintain sleeping comfort
• Double-stitched commercial-grade French seams for durability under repeated laundering
• Colour-coded size labels and date coding to support linen management

At 1.35m wide and 1.90m long, this encasement is sized for a standard double mattress. It has been test washed 200 times, which gives a reasonable indication of durability under the laundry cycles typical of a busy hospitality operation. Zip links are available separately if connecting multiple encasements is required.

This product is well suited to hotels, guest houses, serviced apartments, and care facilities where mattress protection and allergen control are part of standard housekeeping practice. For sites managing larger bed sizes or requiring heavier-duty specification, alternative options in the range may be more appropriate.

If you are specifying mattress protection across multiple rooms or need guidance on which encasement suits your laundry process, the team is happy to help you work through the options.
