Tefcold UR200SG 136 Ltr Single Glass Door Chilled Merchandiser

Product No: UR200SG

Product Description

The Tefcold UR200SG is a freestanding upright chilled merchandiser with a single hinged glass door, designed for the display and chilled holding of grab-and-go products in front-of-house retail and catering environments. Drinks, sandwiches, dairy and similar packaged items are its natural territory — it keeps products visible to customers while holding them at safe serving temperatures throughout the trading day.

Fan-assisted cooling circulates cold air evenly across all shelf levels, which matters in practice when the door is opened repeatedly during a busy service period. Without fan circulation, temperature stratification can leave upper shelf products warmer than those at the base; the forced-air system avoids that. LED interior lighting keeps the cabinet well presented without adding the heat load that older fluorescent fittings introduced, helping the unit hold its set point more efficiently over the course of a shift.

From an operational standpoint, the UR200SG offers several practical advantages:

  • Fan-assisted cooling maintains even temperature across all shelf positions
  • Reversible door hinge gives flexibility when fitting into an existing counter layout
  • LED lighting reduces heat input and contributes to lower running costs
  • Adjustable feet and rear rollers make repositioning straightforward for cleaning
  • Fully automatic operation requires minimal day-to-day management

Installation is simple — the unit runs from a standard mains socket with no gas or water connection required. It should be kept clear of direct heat sources such as ovens or heated pass equipment, and sufficient clearance at the rear and sides is needed for condenser airflow. In warmer or poorly ventilated front-of-house locations, ambient temperature can affect holding performance, so positioning deserves some thought at the planning stage.

The UR200SG is well suited to cafés, small hotel breakfast serveries, convenience counters, staff canteens and similar settings where a compact, presentable chilled display is needed without the footprint of a multi-door unit. It is not the right choice for high-volume sites with rapid stock turnover across a wide product range — those operations are generally better served by a larger-capacity unit.

If you are weighing up whether this unit fits your layout and service volume, our team is happy to talk it through with you.
