This 700mm square table top from Bolero is made from rubber wood with a natural finish and comes pre-drilled to fit directly onto the full range of Bolero table bases. It is intended for indoor use in cafés, restaurants, staff canteens, and similar hospitality settings where a clean, unfussy table surface is needed.

Rubber wood is a reasonably durable hardwood that holds up well under everyday commercial service conditions. The natural finish suits a wide range of interior styles without being overly styled, making it a practical choice for operators who want a consistent look across a dining area without committing to a heavily themed aesthetic.

A few practical points worth noting before ordering:

  • Pre-drilled for compatibility with Bolero bases — confirm your base model before purchasing
  • Natural rubber wood finish suits both contemporary and traditional interiors
  • Suitable for indoor use only — not rated for covered outdoor or high-humidity areas
  • At just over 9kg, straightforward to handle and install without specialist equipment
  • The 700mm square format works well for two covers, or a tight three with smaller tableware

The 700mm square format is one of the more commonly specified sizes for café and bistro settings where space efficiency matters. If your dining room runs larger tables or higher covers per sitting, a larger top from the same Bolero range may be more appropriate. For tighter spaces or counter seating, smaller formats are also available.

If you are fitting out a full dining room and want to talk through base compatibility or table spacing before committing to quantity, we are happy to help.

Frequently asked questions

Will this table top fit the Bolero base I already have?

This top is pre-drilled to be compatible with the full range of Bolero bases, but fixing patterns can vary between base styles. We would recommend confirming your specific base model with us before ordering, particularly if you are purchasing in volume, to avoid any mismatch on site.

Is this table top suitable for outdoor or covered terrace use?

No — this top is rated for indoor use only. Rubber wood is susceptible to moisture and should not be used in outdoor areas, covered terraces, or spaces with high humidity such as poolside settings. For outdoor use, a resin or treated hardwood top would be more appropriate.

How many covers does a 700mm square table comfortably seat?

A 700mm square top is generally suited to two covers in a standard dining arrangement. Three covers is possible with compact tableware and a tight layout, but for a comfortable three-cover setting most operators would opt for a larger top. If your operation typically runs larger parties or longer meal occasions, it is worth considering a bigger format.
