The Churchill Homespun Chroma Blue Triangle Bowl is a 185mm serving bowl finished in a deep blue glaze with a hand-thrown appearance. Each piece carries subtle surface variation that gives the range an artisan, tactile quality while still meeting the consistency requirements of a commercial table setting. The triangle form adds visual interest and works well across starters, desserts, and sharing presentations.

The practical foundation of this range is Churchill's super vitrified body, which offers strong resistance to both thermal and physical shock — relevant in any busy operation where crockery moves quickly between hot holding, service, and commercial dishwashers. Importantly, the decorative finish sits beneath the glaze rather than on top of it, which means it holds up reliably against the repeated abrasion of daily machine washing without fading or wearing thin over time.

  • Super vitrified construction resists chipping under heavy daily use
  • Under-glaze decoration retains its appearance through repeated dishwasher cycles
  • Microwave safe, allowing food to be reheated directly in the bowl
  • Triangle form suits starter, dessert, and sharing plate presentations
  • Hand-thrown aesthetic adds table presence without requiring bespoke pottery

Supplied in packs of 12, this bowl is well suited to restaurants, casual dining venues, hotels, and hospitality operations building a cohesive table setting with a rustic, artisan character. The Homespun Chroma range sits comfortably across a variety of cuisines and presentation styles, making it a practical choice for menus that change seasonally.

If you are specifying a full cover or want to discuss how this range sits alongside other pieces in your table setting, the team are glad to talk it through.

Frequently asked questions

How well does the blue glaze hold up in a high-volume dishwasher environment?

Because the decoration is applied beneath the glaze rather than on the surface, it is well protected from the mechanical abrasion of commercial dishwashers. Churchill's super vitrified body also handles the thermal cycling of hot wash programmes without the micro-cracking that can affect lower-quality vitrified china over time.

Is this bowl suitable for use as part of a full cover specification across a restaurant?

Yes — the Homespun Chroma range is designed with breadth in mind, covering multiple bowl forms, plates, and serving pieces in the same glaze finish. If you are building a full cover, it is worth checking which other pieces are in current stock to ensure you can complete the specification without gaps.

How many packs are typically needed to set up a new restaurant cover?

A practical starting point for most operations is two to three times the number of seated covers, to allow for pieces in use, in the wash cycle, and in reserve. For a 40-cover restaurant, three packs of 12 would provide a working float, though higher-turnover sites or those running multiple sittings may need more. If you are unsure, the team can help you work through the right quantity for your service pattern.
