The Churchill Vintage Prints Aquamarine Triangle Plate is a 229mm side or sharing plate finished in a Moorish-inspired geometric pattern drawn from the decorative tilework traditions of Spain, Portugal and North Africa. The design uses a reactive printing process, which means each piece carries subtle tonal variation — no two plates are exactly alike. That natural inconsistency is the point: it gives a table setting a considered, curated feel without the cost or lead time of bespoke or hand-thrown pieces.

In a working service environment, the aged geometric aesthetic sits well in settings where the room has character and the table dressing is expected to reflect it. The triangular format is well suited to bread plates, amuse-bouche presentation, or smaller sharing portions, and the 229mm diameter gives enough surface area to be genuinely practical at the pass without dominating a full place setting.

The plates are manufactured in Churchill's super vitrified body, which resists chipping better than standard vitrified china — a practical consideration when you are running the pieces through commercial dishwasher cycles and handling them across high-cover service. The material helps protect the printed decoration over time, which matters more with a reactive-finish design than it would with a plain white plate.

  • Reactive print finish gives each plate a naturally individual appearance
  • Suitable for independent restaurants, boutique hotels, and bistros with a strong visual identity
  • Sold in cases of 12, making it straightforward to order in service quantities
  • Compatible with standard commercial dishwasher programmes

If you are building a full cover from the Vintage Prints range or considering how these pieces sit alongside other shapes and finishes, the team is happy to talk through quantities and combinations before you place an order.

Frequently asked questions

How does the reactive print finish hold up over time in a busy service environment?

The reactive print is applied to a super vitrified body, which is more resistant to chipping than standard vitrified china. That physical durability helps protect the printed surface through regular commercial dishwasher cycles and the general handling of high-cover service. That said, as with any decorative tableware, avoiding harsh abrasive cleaners will help preserve the finish longer term.

Can these plates be mixed with other shapes from the Vintage Prints range?

Yes — the Vintage Prints range is designed to work across different plate shapes and sizes, so mixing the triangle format with round or rectangular pieces is a common approach in independent restaurants looking to vary their presentation. If you are planning a mixed cover, it is worth discussing the combination with the team to make sure the pieces balance well across a full table setting.

Are these suitable for a high-volume site running multiple sittings per service?

The super vitrified construction makes them a practical choice for sites running high covers, and commercial dishwasher compatibility means they can turn around quickly between sittings. Where very large quantities are needed or the operation involves particularly heavy stacking and storage demands, it is worth reviewing case quantities carefully — the team can advise on what stock levels tend to work for different service volumes.
