The ABR36 is a purpose-made bun rack designed specifically for use with Crown Verity MCB36 and MCB72 series gas barbecues. It sits inside the RD36 roll dome, making use of the residual heat generated above the grill to warm or lightly toast buns and bread rolls during service — without the need for separate warming equipment or additional counter space.

In a busy outdoor catering environment, keeping buns warm and ready at the same pace as grill output is a genuine operational challenge. This rack addresses that directly by positioning bread at the correct height above the heat source. Four adjustable height positions allow operators to dial in the level of warmth depending on service pace, ambient temperature, and the type of bread being used.

  • Keeps buns warm and ready in line with grill output during service
  • Four height positions give control over warming intensity
  • Fits inside the RD36 roll dome — no extra footprint at the service point
  • Purpose-built fit for MCB36 and MCB72 barbecues ensures stability and safety
  • Reduces reliance on separate warming equipment at the service station

It is worth being clear about compatibility: the ABR36 is designed for the MCB36 and MCB72 models only and requires the RD36 roll dome to function as intended. It is not a universal accessory and will not suit other barbecue series or configurations where the dome is absent.

This rack is well suited to operators already running Crown Verity MCB series barbecues who want a simple, integrated warming solution — whether for events catering, pub gardens, or outdoor dining venues with regular high-volume service periods. If you are building out your Crown Verity setup and want to talk through which accessories make sense for your service style, the team is glad to help you put the right kit together.

Frequently asked questions

Does the ABR36 work with any Crown Verity barbecue or only specific models?

The ABR36 is designed specifically for the MCB36 and MCB72 models and requires the RD36 roll dome to be in place to function correctly. It is not a universal fitting and is not compatible with other Crown Verity barbecue series or configurations where the dome is not present.

Can this rack be used to toast buns as well as simply keep them warm?

Yes — the four adjustable height positions allow operators to control how much heat the buns receive. Positioning the rack closer to the heat source will produce a light toast, while higher positions are better suited to gentle warming. The appropriate setting will depend on service pace and ambient conditions.

Is the ABR36 suitable for high-volume outdoor events catering?

It is well suited to operators running a steady volume of burgers or hot dogs through a Crown Verity MCB series grill and needing buns ready to serve at the same rate. For very high-throughput operations, the rack works best when managed as part of a consistent rotation rather than used as bulk storage above the dome.
