Winterhalter B2S is an acidic-base rinse aid formulated specifically for use in professional warewashing machines. It is designed to neutralise alkaline detergent residues left on surfaces after the wash cycle, and to assist in rinsing away broken-down food soils, leaving dishes and glassware clean and dry at the end of the cycle.

In hard water areas, limescale deposits and mineral streaking are a common problem with commercial warewashers. The acidic formulation of B2S helps counter the effects of hard water on washed items, reducing spotting and improving drying performance on both plastic and stainless steel surfaces. This makes it a practical choice for kitchens in regions where water hardness is a known issue.

Using a rinse aid alongside your detergent is not optional in serious commercial warewashing — detergent alone cannot achieve the surface tension reduction needed for effective draining and drying. The practical advantages of using B2S as part of a consistent chemical programme include:

• Improved drying results on dishes, trays, and glassware
• Reduced spotting and streaking caused by hard water minerals
• Neutralisation of detergent residues that can affect food safety
• Suitable for use on both plastic and stainless steel wares
• Formulated for use in professional dosing systems on commercial machines

B2S is intended for use in commercial warewashing machines with an automatic rinse aid dosing system. It works as part of the broader Winterhalter chemical programme alongside a compatible detergent and, where applicable, water treatment. Using matched chemistry helps ensure consistent results and avoids compatibility issues between products.

This product is well suited to kitchens running Winterhalter warewashers, particularly in hard water areas, and for operations washing a mix of plastic and stainless steel items regularly. If you are unsure which rinse aid is appropriate for your machine type or water conditions, the team is happy to help you choose correctly.

Winterhalter B170XD is a concentrated, neutral rinse aid formulated specifically for use with reusable plastic cups and dishes. Where standard rinse aids can struggle with plastic surfaces, B170XD is designed to accelerate drying and prevent water spotting, leaving items clean, dry, and ready for hygienic stacking directly after the wash cycle.

In busy service environments, proper drying of plastic ware is a practical problem that often gets overlooked. Cups stacked while still damp create hygiene concerns and slow down the restocking process. B170XD addresses this directly — neutralising detergent residues and helping broken-down food soils rinse cleanly away, so plastic items come out of the machine in a usable condition without the need for hand-drying or additional handling.

Key operational advantages include:

• Improved drying performance on plastic surfaces compared to standard rinse aids
• Neutralises detergent residues, reducing spotting and streaking
• Allows clean plastic cups to be hygienically nested and stacked immediately after washing
• Highly concentrated formula, helping to control usage and running costs
• Neutral formulation suitable for regular, high-frequency use

B170XD is part of the Winterhalter chemical system and is intended to be used alongside a compatible Winterhalter warewasher and water treatment solution. Using the full system together is the recommended approach for consistent results — mixing chemicals from different systems can affect wash quality and may not deliver the same drying performance. The 5-litre pack size suits most sites and is straightforward to store and handle.

This product is well suited to venues running high volumes of reusable plastic cups or dishes — festival and events catering, sports venues, educational caterers, and staff restaurants are common applications. If you are unsure whether B170XD is the right chemistry for your warewasher setup, the team is happy to help you work through the options.
