EAIS Armour Wire Dunnage Racks | Floor Storage
£122.00(£146.40 inc VAT)
Dunnage racks are low-profile storage platforms designed to keep bulk goods, sacks, and heavy containers raised clear of the floor. The EAIS Armour range uses an open wire deck on a three-sided stability frame, providing a firm, level base whilst allowing air to circulate freely underneath and around stored items.
In commercial kitchens and storerooms, keeping floor-level stock properly elevated is a basic food hygiene requirement. Dunnage racks make routine cleaning considerably more straightforward — a mop or floor scrubber can pass underneath without having to shift heavy loads — and they help prevent moisture-related deterioration of packaging and produce. The open wire construction also means spills and condensation drain away rather than pooling beneath stored goods.
- Raises stock off the floor to support hygiene compliance
- Open wire deck improves airflow and reduces condensation build-up
- Three-sided frame provides lateral stability for heavy or bulky loads
- Available in multiple length and depth options to suit different storeroom layouts
- Easy to clean around and underneath during routine hygiene passes
These racks require no installation and no power supply. The main practical consideration is matching the rack dimensions to your available floor space and the loads you intend to store. A rack that is too narrow for the goods placed on it presents a safety risk, so it is worth thinking through your most common use cases before ordering. Sites that regularly handle very heavy, pallet-quantity loads should confirm the rack specification is appropriate for those weights before purchasing.
Dunnage racks of this type are well suited to dry stores, walk-in cold rooms, and general storeroom use across most sizes of catering operation — from small independent kitchens through to contract catering and institutional sites. For larger operations with extensive bulk storage requirements, higher-capacity options may be worth exploring.
If you are working out which sizes or combination of racks best fits your layout, we are happy to talk it through before you order.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right dunnage rack size for my storeroom?
Start by measuring the floor area available and consider the largest items you regularly store — sacks of flour, catering tins, or bulk containers all have different footprints. It is also worth thinking about how many racks you need to cover a full delivery, as it is common to underestimate floor coverage requirements. If you are fitting racks into a walk-in cold room, allow clearance on all sides for airflow and cleaning access.
Are these racks suitable for use in cold rooms and chillers?
Yes, wire dunnage racks are commonly used in walk-in cold rooms and chill stores. The open wire construction is particularly useful in refrigerated environments because it allows cold air to circulate around stored goods rather than being blocked by a solid shelf base. The three-sided frame also provides stability on the slightly uneven floor surfaces that can sometimes occur in older cold room installations.
What loads can these racks safely handle?
The EAIS Armour range is built for the kind of heavy bulk storage typical in commercial catering — sacks, catering packs, and large containers. That said, if your operation regularly moves pallet-level quantities onto individual racks, it is worth confirming the rated load capacity against your specific requirements before purchasing, as individual rack specifications vary across the range.
