These disposable half pint glasses from eGreen are made from rPET — recycled polyethylene terephthalate — which means the material is derived from post-consumer plastic rather than virgin polymer. Each glass carries CE marking, confirming it meets the required volume accuracy standards for serving alcohol in a licensed environment.

For operators running outdoor events, festival bars, sports venues, or any setting where glassware is impractical or prohibited, rPET disposables offer a workable alternative to standard plastic cups. The material has reasonable rigidity, which helps the glasses hold their shape during service and feel more substantial in the hand than cheaper single-use options. Being made from recycled content also reduces the carbon impact of manufacture compared to producing equivalent glasses from new plastic.

  • CE marked for licensed alcohol service at half pint volumes
  • Made from 100% rPET — recyclable after use
  • Suitable where glass is restricted or poses a safety risk
  • Sold in a pack of 1250, suited to event-scale quantities
  • More rigid than standard disposable cups, improving handling during busy service

It is worth noting that these are single-use items, so ongoing consumable cost should be factored into event or venue budgeting. They are not suitable for hot beverages. Disposal and recycling arrangements will depend on the facilities available at your site or event.

These glasses are most commonly used by event caterers, festival operators, sports clubs, and licensed venues where glass is not permitted. If your operation requires larger volumes or a different size, it is worth considering what pack formats best suit your typical event scale.

If you are unsure which disposable solution best fits your service setup, the team is happy to talk it through with you.

Frequently asked questions

Are these glasses suitable for use at licensed events where glass is prohibited?

Yes. The glasses are CE marked, which confirms they meet the volume accuracy requirements for serving alcohol in a licensed setting. They are commonly used at outdoor events, festivals, and venues where glass presents a safety or operational risk.

Can these glasses be recycled after use?

The glasses are made from rPET, which is a recyclable material. Whether they can be collected for recycling on-site will depend on the waste and recycling facilities available at your venue or event. It is worth confirming this with your waste contractor in advance.

Is a pack of 1250 the right quantity for my operation?

That depends on your expected footfall and service volume. For smaller events, 1250 may cover several sessions; for large festivals or multi-day events, you may need to plan for multiple packs. If you are unsure how many to order for your specific setup, the team can help you work through the numbers.
