Pillar, Tapered and Bistro Candles

Bolsius bistro candles are a practical, reliable choice for restaurants, cafés, bistros, and any hospitality setting where candlelit tables are part of the dining experience. The 7" (177mm) ivory candles are designed to sit neatly in standard bistro candle holders, providing a consistent, warm flame without drawing attention to themselves — which is generally what operators want from table candles.

These candles are formulated to burn with low smoke output and minimal drip, which matters in a busy service environment. Dripping wax creates extra work for front-of-house staff, marks tablecloths, and can damage holders over time. A clean-burning candle reduces that burden and helps keep table presentation consistent throughout a sitting.

• Low smoke formula — suitable for indoor dining areas with standard ventilation
• Drip-free burn — reduces wax residue on holders and linen
• Ivory finish — neutral tone that works across a range of table settings
• Pack of 45 — practical bulk quantity for regular stock rotation
• Consistent 7" height for uniform table presentation

The pack of 45 is a sensible stocking quantity for most mid-sized operations. High-volume venues or those running multiple sittings nightly may find it worth keeping two or three packs in reserve to avoid running short mid-service. Burn time will vary depending on draught, holder type, and how candles are managed between covers.

If you're unsure which candle size or pack format suits your service style, the team is happy to point you in the right direction.

Bolsius bistro candles are a practical, reliable choice for table service in restaurants, cafés, bistros, and similar hospitality settings. The 7" format sits comfortably in standard bistro candleholders and gives a consistent, modest flame height that works well across different table settings without dominating the place setting.

These candles are formulated to burn with low smoke output and without dripping, which matters during a busy service when the last thing front-of-house staff need is wax pooling on tablecloths or a smoky residue building up in a dining room. Bolsius is a well-established name in professional hospitality candles, and the consistency between candles in a pack is generally reliable — useful when you need uniform burn times and appearance across every table on the floor.

• Low smoke output helps maintain a comfortable dining environment
• Drip-free formula reduces tablecloth damage and linen costs
• Consistent burn performance across the pack supports uniform presentation
• White finish suits a wide range of table settings and décor styles
• Pack of 45 provides practical stock depth for regular service use

There are no special installation requirements — these are straightforward consumables. Do bear in mind that candle burn times vary depending on draught exposure, holder type, and how frequently candles are extinguished and relit during a shift. For outdoor or partially covered settings, wind exposure can noticeably shorten burn life.

These candles are well suited to casual dining, café, and bistro environments. If your operation runs longer service periods or requires a taller flame presentation, it is worth considering a longer-format option from the wider Bolsius range.

If you are stocking up for a new venue or want to discuss quantities for ongoing supply, the team is happy to help.

These Bolsius ivory tapered candles are a practical, reliable choice for restaurants, hotels, bistros, and event venues that use candlelight as a regular part of their table presentation. Each candle measures 10 inches in length and is finished in a clean ivory tone that works well across a range of table settings without clashing with linen or décor.

Bolsius is a well-established candle manufacturer with a long track record in the hospitality trade. Their tapered candles are commonly used in commercial dining environments precisely because they burn consistently and hold their shape through a full service sitting without excessive dripping or uneven burn lines — both of which matter when tables turn over multiple times an evening.

Supplied in a pack of 100, this format suits venues that go through candles at volume and need a dependable stock to draw from. Key practical points worth noting:

• Ivory finish is versatile and works across formal and informal table settings
• Tapered form fits standard candlestick holders and candelabras
• Pack of 100 reduces the frequency of reordering for busy venues
• Consistent burn quality helps maintain a predictable table presentation throughout service

Bear in mind that tapered candles require appropriate holders — they are not freestanding. For venues that prefer a no-holder solution, pillar or bistro-style candles may be a more practical alternative. Wind exposure in outdoor or semi-open settings can also affect burn consistency.

These candles are best suited to table service operations — restaurants, hotels, event caterers, and private dining rooms — where atmosphere and presentation are part of the guest experience. If you're unsure which candle format or burn time suits your cover count and sitting duration, our team is happy to help you work through the options.

These Bolsius tapered candles are a straightforward, reliable choice for restaurants, hotels, and event venues that use candlelight as part of their table setting. Each candle measures 10 inches (254mm) and is produced in a consistent red finish, making them well suited to formal dining rooms, bistro-style settings, and private dining spaces where a uniform appearance across tables matters.

Bolsius is a well-established candle manufacturer, and their tapered range is commonly used in commercial hospitality settings where burn consistency and minimal drip are practical considerations during service. A pack of 100 provides sufficient stock for busy venues running multiple sittings, and the standardised sizing means they fit most common candle holders already in use.

• Consistent red finish across the full pack for uniform table presentation
• Standard 10-inch taper sizing fits widely available candle holders
• Pack of 100 suits busy multi-sitting restaurants and event venues
• Wax construction from a proven hospitality candle brand
• Suitable for both ongoing restaurant service and event or banqueting use

These candles are a consumable item, so stock requirements will vary depending on cover counts and how frequently tables are turned. For venues with very high covers or extended evening services, it is worth reviewing how many sittings a single candle is expected to last to plan stock levels accordingly.

These Bolsius white tapered candles are a standard choice for table service in restaurants, hotels, bistros, and event venues. At 10 inches in length, they sit well in most candlestick holders and hurricane lanterns, providing a consistent burn height throughout service. Bolsius is a well-established European candle manufacturer, and their tapered range is widely used in the hospitality trade for good reason — they burn cleanly, hold their shape under warm ambient conditions, and drip minimally when used with appropriate holders.

For front-of-house operations, consistency matters. A pack of 100 gives most venues enough stock for a full service rotation without constant reordering, and the uniform white finish works across a broad range of table settings from informal bistro dining through to more formal covers. They are not dripless candles, so for tablecloths or surfaces where wax drip is a concern, using a candle holder with a wax-catching bobeche is advisable.

• Uniform white finish suits a wide range of table settings and décor styles
• 10-inch length provides a useful burn duration across a full evening service
• Pack of 100 supports bulk stock management for busy venues
• Minimal drip performance when used with appropriate candle holders
• Well suited to candlestick holders and hurricane lanterns commonly used in hospitality

These candles are suitable for most dining environments where open-flame table candles are permitted. Always confirm compliance with your venue's fire risk assessment and local authority guidance before introducing open flames to a dining area. If you are unsure which candle format — tapered, pillar, or LED alternative — best suits your service style or venue type, the team is happy to talk it through.

These Bolsius ivory pillar candles are a straightforward, reliable choice for restaurants, hotels, and event venues looking to maintain consistent table ambience across multiple services. Each candle measures 120mm tall and is designed to burn cleanly and steadily, with a burn time of approximately 39 hours per candle — considerably longer than standard tea lights, which helps reduce how often staff need to replace them during or between services.

The wax formulation produces minimal smoke, which matters in a dining environment where fumes or soot can affect the guest experience. The wick relights easily, so a candle that has been extinguished between sittings can be brought back quickly without fuss. In practical terms, this means less interruption during table turns and less time spent managing candle stocks mid-service.

Buying in a pack of 12 makes sense for most front-of-house teams — it reduces the frequency of reordering and ensures you have consistent stock across all tables. Ivory is a neutral, versatile finish that suits a broad range of table settings, from informal bistros to more formal dining rooms.

• Long burn time reduces how often candles need replacing during service
• Low-smoke wax keeps the dining environment comfortable for guests
• Easy-relight wick minimises disruption between sittings
• Pack of 12 supports consistent stock levels across a venue
• Neutral ivory finish works across a range of table settings

If you're considering candle options across different heights or burn times for your venue, we're happy to help you work out what suits your service pattern best.

These Bolsius ivory short pillar candles are a practical choice for restaurants, hotels, and event venues looking to add consistent, reliable candlelight to their table settings. Each candle is a compact pillar format, well suited to candle holders, lanterns, and centrepiece arrangements where a shorter profile is preferred over a tall taper or bistro stick.

Bolsius is a well-regarded European candle manufacturer, and their pillar range is commonly used in hospitality settings where consistency across covers matters. The ivory colouring is neutral enough to complement most table linen and décor schemes without drawing attention to itself — which is generally what you want from a table candle in a busy dining room.

For front-of-house teams, a few practical points are worth noting:

• Low smoke output helps keep the dining environment comfortable and reduces residue on glassware and linen
• A long approximate burn time supports multi-session use, reducing how frequently candles need replacing mid-service
• The pillar format sits stably in standard candle holders without requiring adhesive or pins
• Ivory finish works well across a range of interior styles from traditional to contemporary
• Supplied in a pack of 12, suitable for stocking across a reasonable number of covers

It is worth checking that your candle holders are sized to accept a 60mm diameter pillar before ordering, as some holders designed for tapers or thinner pillars will not be a correct fit. For venues with a high cover count or frequent private dining, ordering in larger quantities tends to reduce per-unit cost and ensures consistency of colour across tables.

If you are unsure which candle format or finish best suits your setting, or need guidance on quantities for your service volume, the team is happy to help.
