Caterlite Air Fryer Microwave Oven 26Ltr 1500W
£121.00(£145.20 inc VAT)
The Caterlite air fryer microwave oven combines three cooking modes — microwave, air fry and convection — into a single counter-top unit. Rather than running separate appliances for reheating, crisping and baking, one machine handles all three tasks, which is useful where counter space is limited or a kitchen's menu leans on lighter, faster-cooked dishes.
In practice, the microwave function covers rapid reheating and defrosting, while the air fry mode delivers a dry, circulated heat that produces crisp textures on sides, snacks and lighter mains without the footprint of a dedicated fryer or full convection oven. The combination mode — running microwave and convection together — reduces cook times compared to convection alone and produces better colour and texture than microwave cooking in isolation. For a café, small bistro or finishing kitchen, that flexibility has genuine day-to-day value.
Operationally, the unit is straightforward to run:
- 14 dedicated air fry menus and 9 auto programmes support repeatable results across a team
- 10 power levels allow control from gentle defrosting through to full-power reheating
- The stainless steel cavity wipes clean easily between uses
- Supplied with an air fryer basket and tray — no additional accessories needed to get started
Installation is straightforward — the unit runs from a standard 13A socket and requires no fixed connection or specialist ventilation, though adequate clearance around the unit is advisable for airflow during air fry operation. At 26 litres it handles larger plates and trays comfortably, though it is a counter-top domestic-style unit and is not rated for the continuous throughput of a full commercial microwave.
This unit suits cafés, small restaurants, hospitality prep areas, staff canteens and similar lower-volume settings where menu versatility matters more than raw throughput. It is not intended to replace a heavy-duty commercial microwave in a high-volume kitchen. For sites running sustained back-to-back service, a dedicated commercial microwave with higher duty cycle ratings would be more appropriate.
If you are unsure whether this unit fits your service volume or kitchen setup, we are happy to talk it through before you commit to an order.

Frequently asked questions
Is this unit suitable for continuous use during a busy service period?
This is a counter-top unit designed for lighter commercial use rather than sustained back-to-back throughput. It suits lower-volume settings such as cafés, hospitality prep areas or small bistros where the three cooking modes are used intermittently throughout service. For kitchens running continuous high-volume reheating, a dedicated commercial microwave with a higher duty cycle rating would be a more reliable choice.
What are the installation requirements for this oven?
The unit draws 2.5A and connects to a standard 13A socket — there is no requirement for a hardwired connection, gas supply or dedicated ventilation. You should allow adequate clearance around the unit, particularly at the rear and sides, to ensure proper airflow when running the air fry or convection functions.
Can this replace a separate air fryer and microwave in a small kitchen?
For a kitchen where neither appliance is under heavy continuous demand, yes — the combination of modes makes it a practical consolidation. Where one or both functions are being used almost constantly throughout service, it is worth considering whether the duty cycle of a single multi-function unit will meet that demand, or whether dedicated appliances would hold up better over time.
