Cleenol
Cleenol Washing Up Liquid Concentrate 5Ltr (Pack of 2)
£18.66(£22.39 inc VAT)
Cleenol's washing up liquid concentrate is formulated for commercial manual dishwashing rather than domestic use. The higher active content means a small amount goes a long way in a busy pot wash or preparation sink, making it a practical choice for kitchens where manual washing forms part of the daily routine alongside or in place of a glasswasher or dishwasher.
In a working kitchen environment, the concentrate performs well on grease, food residue, and general soiling without requiring excessive product to maintain an effective wash solution. The green-tinted formula is a useful visual indicator when diluting into a sink, helping pot wash staff maintain a consistent working solution rather than overdosing.
- Highly concentrated formula reduces the volume of product needed per wash session
- Effective on grease and general food soiling common in commercial kitchens
- Supplied as a twin pack, reducing order frequency for busy sites
- Suitable for use in large industrial wash sinks as well as standard pot wash stations
- Cost-effective on a per-use basis compared with standard retail-grade detergents
As a manual washing product, this is best suited to kitchens where hand dishwashing is a regular part of operations — smaller independents, cafés, pub kitchens, or sites where a machine washer handles crockery but pots, trays, and utensils are washed by hand. It is not intended for use in automatic dishwashers or glasswashers, which require purpose-formulated machine detergents.
If you're stocking up on warewash chemicals and want to make sure you're using the right products across your manual and machine washing setup, we're happy to point you in the right direction.

Frequently asked questions
Is this suitable for use in a commercial dishwasher or glasswasher?
No — this product is formulated for manual hand dishwashing only. Automatic dishwashers and glasswashers require dedicated machine detergents that are designed for the pressure and temperature conditions inside those units. Using a manual washing up liquid in a machine can cause excessive foaming and may affect wash results.
How does a concentrated product compare to standard washing up liquid in a commercial setting?
A concentrated formula requires a smaller volume of product to achieve an effective working solution in the sink, which reduces the amount you get through over a service period. For a busy pot wash station handling heavy soiling from pans, trays, and utensils, this typically makes it more economical on a cost-per-use basis than standard detergents.
Is a twin 5Ltr pack the right quantity for a small independent kitchen?
For most small to medium sites — cafés, pub kitchens, or small independent restaurants — a twin 5Ltr pack offers a sensible balance between having adequate stock on hand and avoiding unnecessary storage. Higher-volume kitchens with extensive manual washing may find it worth ordering in greater quantities; if you're unsure what volume suits your operation, we can advise based on your typical service demands.
