Contact Grills Panini Presses

The Hallco MEMT16052XNS is a dual-plate contact grill designed for commercial sandwich and panini service. The upper plate is ribbed, producing the char marks and texture that work well on pressed sandwiches, ciabattas and grilled vegetables, while the lower plate is flat, providing even contact across the full cooking surface. The combination makes it a practical choice where a kitchen needs to handle both pressed paninis and items that benefit from a smooth, uninterrupted cooking surface.

In a working kitchen environment, the counterbalanced top plate is a meaningful detail. It reduces the effort required to lift and hold the lid during busy service, and it helps maintain consistent downward pressure across food without the operator having to apply force manually. The adjustable thermostat gives enough range to move between light toasting and more intensive grilling without significant delay, and the cooking surface is wide enough to run several portions simultaneously during a lunch rush.

From an operational standpoint, the key practical points are:

• Ribbed top plate produces clean grill marks on sandwiches and pressed items
• Flat bottom plate suits delicate items that need even, consistent contact
• Counterbalanced lid reduces operator fatigue during continuous service
• Removable drip and crumb tray speeds up cleaning between services
• Dual 13-amp supply means no specialist electrical installation is required

On installation, this unit runs on a standard dual 13-amp supply, which keeps setup straightforward and avoids the need for hardwired connections or specialist electrical work. It sits comfortably on a countertop and is well suited to operations where worktop space is at a premium. There is no water connection required, and ventilation demands are typical for a contact grill of this type — adequate general kitchen ventilation is normally sufficient, though this should be confirmed against your canopy or extraction setup.

This grill is a sensible fit for sandwich bars, cafés, hotel kitchens, school canteens, and similar operations running a steady volume of pressed or grilled items through a service period. It is not designed for continuous high-intensity use across multiple covers simultaneously — for sites with heavier throughput requirements, a more robust or larger-format unit may be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this model is the right match for your service volume or kitchen setup, the team is happy to talk it through before you commit to a purchase.

The Buffalo Bistro Ribbed Contact Grill is a compact, countertop grill designed for cafés, sandwich bars, and light commercial kitchens that need to produce grilled paninis, pressed sandwiches, chicken fillets, and similar items quickly and consistently. It uses ribbed cast iron plates on both the upper and lower surfaces, which retain heat effectively and transfer characteristic grill marks to the food.

In a busy café or deli environment, this unit handles a steady flow of orders during peak service reasonably well. The cast iron plates hold heat after each item is removed, which helps maintain consistent results without long waits between each press. It is worth being clear that this is a single-grill, light-duty unit — it is not designed for continuous back-to-back output at the volume you would expect from a double or heavy-duty commercial contact grill. For sites running high throughput through a lunch service, a larger or more robust unit would be more appropriate.

Practical advantages for day-to-day operation include:

• Counterbalanced top plate applies gentle, even pressure without crushing food
• Non-stick cast iron plates reduce sticking and simplify cleaning
• Ribbed plate profile adds grill texture and aids fat drainage
• Supplied with a griddle scraper for straightforward plate maintenance between services
• Stainless steel exterior wipes down easily and stands up to a kitchen environment

Installation is straightforward. The unit is compact and requires only a standard 13A mains socket, making it easy to position on any available counter space. No extraction connection or water supply is needed. The footprint is modest, which suits tighter front-of-house or servery areas as well as back-of-house kitchens.

This grill is well suited to cafés, coffee shops, small restaurant kitchens, and any operation needing a reliable, no-fuss contact grill for moderate daily use. It is not the right choice for high-volume sandwich chains or operations running the grill continuously across long services — in those cases, something with greater plate surface area and a heavier-duty heating element would serve better.

If you are unsure whether this model fits your service volume or have questions about how it compares to other options in our range, we are happy to talk it through before you order.

The Hallco MEMT16053XNS is a dual-plate contact grill fitted with flat, non-stick surfaces on both the top and bottom platens. Unlike ribbed-plate models, the flat configuration applies even, direct heat across the entire contact area — a practical choice for paninis, ciabattas, flatbreads, quesadillas, and similar items where consistent surface contact matters more than grill marks.

In a café or deli environment, this grill performs reliably through back-to-back service. The wide grill area accommodates multiple sandwiches simultaneously, and the thermostat allows operators to set the right temperature for different bread types and fillings — lower for delicate wraps, higher for thick focaccia or dense breads that need more heat to warm through quickly. The counterbalanced top lid assists with consistent pressing pressure and smooth operation throughout a busy service period.

• Flat non-stick plates reduce cleaning time and are kind to delicate breads
• Dishwasher-safe drip tray simplifies end-of-service cleaning
• Wide grill area supports multi-unit output during peak periods
• Counterbalanced lid provides consistent pressing without operator effort
• Full thermostat range suits a variety of bread types and fillings

From a maintenance standpoint, the flat non-stick surfaces are easier to keep clean than ribbed alternatives — residue does not collect in grooves, and plates can be wiped down quickly between orders. The removable drip tray is dishwasher-safe, and a cleaning brush is included as standard.

The unit draws power from two standard 13-amp plugs, so no dedicated electrical supply or hardwiring is needed. This makes counter placement straightforward and suits operators who need flexibility in kitchen layout or occasionally move equipment between sites. Adequate ventilation around the unit during service is worth factoring into the workstation arrangement.

This grill is well suited to cafés, sandwich bars, delis, and hospitality operations where paninis and toasted items form a regular but not dominant part of the menu. It is not designed for high-volume continuous throughput — where grilled items form a primary menu focus, a heavier-duty unit is likely to be a better match. For lower-output settings, smaller single-plate alternatives are also available in the range.

If you are weighing this model against your expected service volume, the team is happy to talk it through before you commit to a purchase.

The Hallco MEMT16050XNS is a twin-plate contact grill with ribbed non-stick surfaces on both the upper and lower platens. It is designed for cooking panini, toasted sandwiches, chicken fillets, and similar items where direct two-sided contact heat is required. The counterbalanced top lid can be positioned flat for finishing or held at an angle, giving the operator control over how food sits during cooking.

In a working kitchen, this type of grill suits operations with a steady throughput of grilled items rather than continuous high-volume demand. The ribbed plates produce the characteristic sear marks associated with grilled products and perform well with lighter proteins, vegetables, and bread-based items where a clean, delicate finish matters. The non-stick coating helps prevent tearing on more fragile foods and reduces the effort needed to clean the surface between uses.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the practical details that support straightforward service include:

• Counterbalanced lid providing consistent pressure across the cooking surface
• Removable drip and crumb tray that is dishwasher safe, simplifying end-of-service cleaning
• Non-stick ribbed plates on both faces, reducing the need for added oils and aiding food release
• Thermostat adjustable up to 300°C, giving reasonable flexibility across different menu items
• Cleaning brush supplied as standard — a small but useful detail in a busy service setting

This grill runs from two standard 13-amp plug connections, meaning no specialist electrical installation is required. It can be positioned on any suitable countertop and plugged into existing sockets, which makes it a practical option for smaller operations or sites where hard-wired equipment is not feasible. It is not intended for high-volume continuous grilling where a heavier-duty grill with more robust plates and greater sustained power would be the more appropriate choice.

It is best suited to cafés, sandwich bars, small hotel kitchens, and light-service catering environments where grilled items feature regularly but do not make up the bulk of output. For busier sites running grilled products throughout a full service period, a higher-capacity model with commercially rated plates is worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this grill matches your service volumes and menu requirements, we are happy to talk it through before you place an order.

The Hallco MEMT16030XNS is a single-head contact grill fitted with ribbed non-stick plates on both the top and bottom platens. It applies heat from above and below simultaneously, pressing and grilling in a single step — which is the practical reason contact grills of this type are a fixture in cafés, sandwich bars, and hotel breakfast operations. The ribbed configuration leaves the grill marks customers expect from a pressed panini or flatbread, while the non-stick surfaces help prevent filled or cheese-heavy items from tearing on removal.

For lower-to-medium volume daytime service, this type of unit tends to be a reliable everyday workhorse. The counterbalanced lid holds open at any angle, which makes loading straightforward when items vary in thickness — a common enough situation in a deli or café where the menu shifts throughout the day. An adjustable thermostat gives operators practical control over browning level and dwell time across different products.

From a daily operational standpoint, several features carry real value:

• Counterbalanced lid holds safely at any angle for controlled loading and unloading
• Ribbed plates top and bottom produce consistent grill marks and even heat contact
• Non-stick coating reduces tearing on delicate or heavily filled items
• Removable drip and crumb tray is dishwasher safe, keeping end-of-service cleaning manageable
• Supplied cleaning brush supports quick hygiene routines between covers

This is a countertop unit that runs from a standard UK mains socket. There are no gas or water connections involved. It needs a stable, heat-resistant surface with reasonable clearance on all sides for ventilation and safe working. Setup is straightforward — a suitable power outlet and sufficient counter space are all that is required.

This model is well suited to cafés, hotel breakfast counters, delis, and similar operations where panini and pressed items feature on the menu without forming the core of a continuous high-speed lunchtime service. Sites running heavy throughput across a sustained peak period may find a dual-head or higher-capacity unit a more practical fit for the pace of service.

If you are working out whether the capacity here matches your expected covers, our team is happy to talk it through with you.

The Hallco MEMT16002XNS is a single-head electric contact grill fitted with smooth, flat non-stick plates on both the top and bottom surfaces. Unlike ribbed or ridged alternatives, the flat plate configuration makes it suitable for a broader range of food types — paninis, flatbreads, wraps, and delicate items such as fish, eggs, and thin meat cuts that benefit from even, direct contact heat rather than a charmark finish.

In service, this grill performs reliably during moderate throughput. The counterbalanced top plate holds position at any angle, which helps when loading and unloading quickly during a busy café or breakfast service. The thermostat allows precise temperature setting across a wide range, meaning operators can adjust for different food types rather than working with a fixed heat setting throughout the day.

Practical day-to-day advantages include:

• Smooth non-stick plates reduce food adhesion and speed up cleaning between orders
• Dishwasher-safe drip and crumb tray keeps end-of-day cleaning straightforward
• Flat plate suits delicate foods and items unsuitable for ridged grilling
• Counterbalanced lid stays open hands-free during loading
• Compact countertop footprint suits smaller kitchens, serveries, and cafés

Installation is simple — this is a countertop electric unit requiring no gas or water connection. It should be placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface with adequate clearance during operation. It is worth being clear about its limits: this unit is not designed for sustained, back-to-back output in a high-volume sandwich bar running at full capacity throughout a long service. Operations with that level of demand would be better served by a heavier-duty model with a larger grill area and more robust plate construction.

This grill is well suited to cafés, small restaurants, hotel breakfast stations, workplace catering facilities, and similar settings where contact grilling features on the menu but is not the primary production driver. It offers a practical, reliable solution for operators who need clean-contact grilling at a sensible price point without oversizing for their actual service demands.

If you are weighing this model against your expected volume or menu range, our team is happy to talk through whether it is the right fit before you place an order.

The Hallco MEMT16000XNS is a single-head electric contact grill with ribbed non-stick plates on both the top and bottom platens. It applies direct heat from both sides simultaneously, producing consistent grill marks and reducing cook times — the approach most operators rely on for panini, ciabatta, wraps, and similar filled products where speed and a defined surface finish both matter.

In a café, coffee shop, or sandwich bar setting this grill handles a steady, moderate throughput reliably. It is not built for continuous back-to-back production across a long, high-volume service, but for an operation turning out regular panini orders through a lunchtime rush it performs consistently. The thermostat gives enough range to suit both robust fillings and more delicate ingredients without scorching.

Day-to-day operational benefits include:

• Non-stick ribbed plates reduce food adhesion and speed up cleaning between orders
• Counterbalanced lid holds at any angle, keeping hands free when loading or checking food
• Removable drip and crumb tray is dishwasher safe, simplifying end-of-service cleaning
• Wide thermostat range accommodates different products without constant adjustment
• Supplied with a cleaning brush, ready to use from day one

This is a countertop unit requiring only a standard mains socket. Allow adequate clearance around and above the unit for heat dispersal during service. No extraction is required in the way a gas appliance would demand, though reasonable kitchen ventilation remains good practice.

This grill suits cafés, coffee shops, snack bars, and front-of-house counters where panini and toasted sandwiches are a regular menu item rather than the primary output of a high-volume production kitchen. For operations running a grill continuously across busy, back-to-back services, a heavier-duty unit with a larger cooking surface is worth considering.

If you would like to talk through whether this unit is the right fit for your volumes and counter setup, the team is always happy to help before you decide.

The Hallco MEMT16031XNS is a single-head countertop contact grill fitted with a ribbed top plate and a flat bottom plate, both finished with a non-stick coating. It is designed for café, sandwich bar, and light hotel kitchen use where a straightforward, reliable grill is needed to handle paninis, toasted wraps, flatbreads, and similar grilled products through everyday service.

The combination of ribbed and flat plates in a single unit gives operators a useful degree of flexibility without requiring two pieces of equipment. The ribbed surface produces the grill marks expected on a toasted panini or ciabatta, while the flat plate delivers even contact across the full cooking surface — particularly useful for items where consistent heat distribution matters more than appearance. A broad thermostat range means more delicate products can be handled at lower temperatures without risk of scorching during quieter periods.

From a practical day-to-day standpoint, the unit is straightforward to manage:

• Non-stick plates reduce food adhesion and keep cleaning quick between covers
• Removable drip and crumb tray is dishwasher safe, reducing end-of-service workload
• Counterbalanced lid holds its position during loading and unloading
• Compact footprint fits comfortably on tight countertop layouts
• Plug-in electric operation requires no specialist installation

As a single-head unit, this grill is well suited to moderate-throughput environments — a busy lunchtime café or a small hotel breakfast service, for example. It connects to a standard plug socket, so there are no significant installation requirements, though adequate ventilation above the cooking position should always be in place. Sites running continuous high-volume service or needing to batch-grill at pace would be better served by a heavier-duty or double-headed model.

If you are unsure whether this unit fits your service pattern or want to talk through the options, we are happy to help you work it through before you commit.

The Hallco MEMT16001XNS is a single-head electric contact grill with a ribbed upper plate and a flat lower plate. The ribbed surface produces the bar marks typically associated with panini and pressed sandwiches, while the flat base delivers consistent, direct contact heat — useful for items where even surface contact matters more than grill markings.

In service, this type of unit performs well in cafés, delis, hotel lounges, and sandwich bars where panini and light grilled snacks are a regular but not dominant part of the menu. The counterbalanced lid can be held open at varying heights, which helps when working across items of different thickness. Recovery between consecutive presses is reasonable for this class of equipment, though operators expecting continuous back-to-back volume through a busy lunchtime service should consider whether a larger or multi-head unit would be more appropriate.

• Non-stick plates reduce residue build-up and speed up cleaning between covers
• Removable drip and crumb tray is dishwasher-safe, keeping hygiene maintenance straightforward
• Counterbalanced lid reduces operator fatigue during repeated use across a service
• Cleaning brush included to maintain the ribbed plate without causing damage
• Wide thermostat range gives flexibility across different menu items and thicknesses

This is a countertop electric unit that runs from a standard power supply — no gas connection or specialist ventilation is required. That makes positioning within an existing counter setup straightforward. The cooking area is compact, which suits tight counters but does limit throughput to one or two items per cycle. It is not designed for high-volume continuous service.

This grill is well suited to cafés, sandwich bars, hotel bars, and similar light-service environments where panini and grilled snacks sit alongside a broader menu. For sites where grilling forms a higher-volume or more central part of the operation, a heavier-duty or multi-head unit would be worth considering.

If you would like to talk through whether this unit fits your service pattern or counter setup before ordering, we are glad to help.

The Roller Grill Panini L is a single-head countertop contact grill fitted with a flat base plate and a ribbed top plate. That combination means an operation can move between pressed sandwiches and marked proteins — chicken, burgers, halloumi — without changing plates between services. Both plates are cast iron, fitted with armoured heating elements designed to distribute heat evenly across the cooking surface.

In a café or food-to-go setting, consistency at the plate is what separates reliable results during a lunchtime rush from variable ones. Cast iron holds heat well, which supports steady recovery between successive items rather than the temperature drop that lighter plate materials can produce. The counterbalanced, spring-adjustable top plate applies controlled pressure rather than simply resting its full weight on the food — a practical detail when cooking items of different thickness across the same service.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the unit offers several useful features:

• Insulated handles reduce burn risk during fast-paced service
• Pilot lights confirm the unit is powered and up to temperature
• Integrated timer supports consistent results across different operators
• Counterbalanced lid prevents uneven compression during cooking
• Cast iron plates are robust and straightforward to clean between services

Installation is straightforward — this is a countertop electric unit requiring a suitable power supply and sufficient worktop depth. It is worth thinking about ventilation in confined counter or pass environments where steam can build quickly during busy periods. Checking your counter depth and power supply arrangement before ordering is sensible.

The Panini L is well suited to independent coffee shops, smaller cafés, and food-to-go operations where contact grilling is a regular menu requirement but throughput does not justify a multi-head unit. For sites running continuous high-volume service, a heavier-duty or larger-capacity model may be worth considering. For very occasional use, a simpler unit may be sufficient.
