Glass Lid Freezers

The Tefcold IC101SCEB is a 100-litre chest freezer fitted with a sliding curved glass lid, designed primarily for the display and sale of ice cream, gelato, lollies, and similar frozen products. The curved glass top lets customers view the contents without the lid needing to be opened, which makes it a practical choice wherever impulse purchase drives sales — cafés, leisure venues, farm shops, garden centres, and similar retail or catering outlets.

In day-to-day service, the fan-assisted condenser helps maintain consistent temperatures throughout the cabinet even during repeated lid openings. At 100 litres, this is a compact unit and is better matched to lighter service volumes than to a busy dedicated scooping counter. Operators expecting continuous high-throughput demand should consider whether a larger-capacity cabinet would better suit their peak requirements before committing to this size.

From an operational standpoint, the IC101SCEB offers several practical advantages:

• Curved glass lid provides clear product visibility without opening, reducing cold air loss
• Internal basket and divider system supports straightforward stock organisation and rotation
• Integrated lock provides basic product security when the unit is unattended
• Four castors, two lockable, allow easy repositioning without heavy lifting
• Defrost drain simplifies routine cleaning and ongoing maintenance

Installation is straightforward. The unit runs from a standard single-phase supply and requires adequate clearance around the condenser for ventilation — positioning it flush against a wall or in a poorly ventilated space will affect both performance and service life. The castors offer reasonable placement flexibility, but the unit should sit on a level, stable surface. It is not suitable for outdoor use or for back-of-house areas where ambient temperatures are consistently high.

This freezer is well suited to smaller catering operations, cafés, ice cream kiosks, and retail counters where display presentation contributes directly to sales. For sites with higher throughput or limited floor space, larger and alternative-format display chest freezers are worth considering. An optional glass canopy accessory is available if overhead protection during scooping is needed.

If you are weighing up whether this cabinet fits your available space or service volume, we are happy to talk it through with you beforehand.

The Tefcold IC201SC is a chest freezer designed specifically for displaying and storing ice cream and other frozen impulse products. It uses a flat, smooth-sliding glass lid that allows customers to view the contents clearly without breaking the cold air seal unnecessarily — a practical advantage over hinged or open-top configurations when staff or customers are browsing frequently.

In a busy service environment, the sliding lid helps maintain consistent holding temperatures even during periods of regular access, which is important for ice cream products that are sensitive to temperature fluctuation and partial thaw cycles. The basket system included with the unit keeps different product lines separated and accessible, reducing the time staff spend searching during a busy service period.

From an operational standpoint, the IC201SC offers a straightforward set of practical advantages:

• Glass lid allows clear product visibility without opening the unit fully
• Castors enable repositioning without specialist equipment
• Internal basket system supports organised stock rotation
• Self-contained refrigeration — no remote condenser required
• Low-profile chest format makes it accessible for counter-level display areas

Installation is relatively straightforward. The unit is self-contained and requires only a standard mains electrical connection. As with any chest freezer, adequate ventilation around the unit is important — allow sufficient clearance at the sides and rear to avoid the condenser overheating, particularly in warmer retail or kitchen environments. The castors make positioning flexible, though the unit should sit on a level, stable surface.

The IC201SC is well suited to cafés, small restaurants, convenience stores, garden centres, and similar venues that sell impulse ice cream products and need a practical display solution without committing to a larger upright cabinet. For operations with higher stock volumes or multiple display points, a larger capacity unit would be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this model fits your space or service requirements, our team is happy to talk it through with you before you commit.

The Tefcold ST160 is a compact chest freezer with a hinged flat glass lid, designed primarily for impulse frozen product display in small retail and catering environments. The clear lid allows customers or staff to see what is inside without opening the unit, which helps the cabinet hold temperature between accesses and reduces unnecessary cold air loss across a trading day.

In day-to-day use the ST160 performs reliably in low-to-medium demand settings. The static cooling system maintains a stable internal temperature quietly, without the background noise of a fan-assisted unit — a consideration worth noting for smaller cafés, snack kiosks, or front-of-house retail spaces where ambient noise matters. Recovery after opening is adequate for typical impulse retail patterns, though any site where the lid is being opened very frequently throughout a full service day should factor that into the decision before purchasing.

From an operational standpoint, the unit offers several practical advantages:

• Hinged glass lid with lock — product visibility without compromising temperature or security
• Castors fitted as standard, allowing repositioning without lifting
• Integrated temperature display for straightforward day-to-day monitoring
• Defrost drain included, making routine cleaning more manageable
• One storage basket supplied for basic product organisation within the cabinet

Installation is straightforward. The unit is self-contained and runs from a standard 13A mains socket, requiring reasonable clearance at the rear and sides for ventilation. It should not be positioned in direct sunlight or beside heat-generating equipment, as elevated ambient temperatures will affect performance and increase running costs.

The ST160 is well suited to small cafés, farm shops, garden centres, and convenience retail settings where a modest range of frozen impulse lines needs to be displayed accessibly. It is not intended for bulk frozen storage or continuous high-throughput kitchen production. Where the operation demands significantly greater capacity or the unit would face constant heavy access across a full service day, a larger or fan-assisted alternative is likely the more appropriate choice.

If you would like to talk through whether this unit suits your specific site before committing, we are glad to help.

The Tefcold NIC101CP is a chest freezer designed for open display of frozen products, fitted with a curved sliding glass lid set into a moulded trim. The curved profile gives customers a clear, unobstructed view of the contents, making it a practical choice for displaying ice cream, lollies, and bagged frozen goods in environments where impulse purchase matters — farm shops, convenience stores, café counters, and similar food retail settings.

In service, this style of unit performs reliably for light-to-moderate throughput. The sliding lid design allows quick access without the unit losing temperature rapidly, which helps maintain product quality during busy periods when the freezer is being opened frequently. It is not designed for heavy back-of-house frozen storage where a solid-lid or upright reach-in unit would typically be more appropriate.

From an operational standpoint, the curved glass lid offers a few practical advantages worth noting:

• Clear curved glass maximises product visibility and encourages browsing
• Sliding lid allows single-handed access during service
• Moulded trim finish gives a clean, presentable front-of-house appearance
• Chest configuration retains cold air effectively when opened
• Suitable for ice cream, frozen confectionery, and pre-packaged frozen goods

Installation is straightforward — the unit requires a standard mains supply and adequate ventilation clearance around the condenser. As with all chest freezers, it should be positioned on a level, stable surface and kept away from direct heat sources such as ovens or strong sunlight, which would increase running costs and reduce efficiency. The footprint is modest, but allow enough floor space for customers to access the sliding lid comfortably.

This unit is best suited to smaller retail or catering operations that need a tidy, accessible display freezer for front-of-house use. For sites with higher product turnover or larger display requirements, a wider or higher-capacity model is worth considering. It is not intended to replace a primary frozen storage unit.

If you are unsure whether this model suits your layout or service volume, we are happy to talk it through before you commit to an order.

The Polar G-Series 200-litre display chest freezer is a glass-lid merchandising unit designed for selling frozen products directly from the cabinet. With a curved sliding glass lid and an open-top view of the contents, it allows customers to browse and select products without staff intervention — making it a practical choice for self-serve retail environments where frozen goods such as ice cream, ready meals, and frozen pizza are sold.

In a busy convenience store or service station setting, the cabinet holds temperature reliably across its operating range, maintaining frozen stock in good condition throughout trading hours. The sliding glass panels allow quick access for restocking without significantly disrupting the cabinet temperature, and the twin internal baskets help operators organise product by category or rate of sale. The unit is rated for ambient conditions up to 32°C, which makes it a reasonable choice for warmer retail environments such as forecourts or kiosks where climate control may be limited.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the G-Series chest freezer offers several practical advantages:

• Curved sliding glass lid gives clear product visibility and encourages customer self-selection
• Twin baskets support organised stock management and easy rotation
• Rounded internal corners make cleaning quicker and more thorough
• Built-in castors allow repositioning without lifting
• Quiet running suits retail floor environments where noise matters

The cabinet runs on R600a refrigerant and carries an energy rating of C — worth factoring in if the unit will be running continuously in a high-footfall location. At 42kg it is manageable to move with the castors engaged, but consider floor surface and access routes before delivery. No plumbing or extraction is required; a standard 13A socket and adequate floor space are the main installation requirements.

This unit is well suited to convenience retail, farm shops, service stations, and similar point-of-sale environments where impulse-purchase frozen products are a meaningful part of the offer. It is a single-zone, single-temperature cabinet — if you need separate sections for chilled and frozen, or significantly higher capacity for a busier site, a different configuration would be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this cabinet suits your space or your product mix, the team is happy to talk it through before you commit to an order.

The Tefcold FOCUS 151 is a 418-litre chest freezer designed for open display in retail, food service, and hospitality environments. Its defining feature is a pair of frameless, curved sliding glass lids that allow customers to view frozen stock clearly from above without the visual obstruction of a heavy frame. The grey exterior finish gives it a clean, neutral appearance that sits comfortably in most retail or service settings.

In practice, this type of chest freezer is well suited to environments where product visibility directly influences purchasing decisions — convenience stores, farm shops, food halls, and similar settings where impulse-buy frozen lines benefit from being clearly displayed. The sliding lid mechanism means customers can access product easily without staff assistance, keeping service flowing during busy periods. Internal LED lighting ensures the cabinet interior remains clearly illuminated even in lower-lit environments.

From an operational standpoint, a chest configuration of this capacity offers some practical advantages over upright display alternatives:

• Lower ambient air loss when opened, supporting more consistent holding temperatures
• Curved sliding glass lids reduce condensation obstruction and keep the display face clean
• LED lighting provides good product visibility without generating excess heat inside the cabinet
• Castors allow the unit to be repositioned or moved away from the wall for cleaning
• Grey finish is less prone to showing marks than white alternatives in high-traffic areas

On the installation side, this is a self-contained plug-in unit intended for standard single-phase power supply. It requires adequate clearance around the condenser for ventilation — typically at the rear or sides depending on the condenser position — and should be sited away from direct heat sources or strong direct sunlight, which will affect running efficiency and temperature holding. It is not designed for outdoor use. Floor loading should be considered if the unit will be fully stocked on upper floors or in premises with older flooring.

The FOCUS 151 is best suited to small to medium retail or foodservice sites looking for a reliable open-display freezer for a moderate range of frozen product lines. Operators with higher throughput or a larger footprint of frozen display may find a larger-capacity or multi-section unit more appropriate. Where space is more limited, smaller capacity alternatives within the same display freezer category are also available.

If you are unsure whether this cabinet suits your floor space, service volume, or power supply, our team is happy to talk through the options before you commit.

The Tefcold ST401 is a 401-litre commercial chest freezer built for the display and storage of ice cream, frozen confectionery, and packaged frozen goods. Its defining feature is a flat, double-glazed hinged glass lid set in an aluminium frame, which allows customers or staff to identify stock at a glance without needing to open the cabinet.

In retail and catering environments where frequent browsing or self-service is part of normal operation, the hinged lid arrangement earns its keep. Because the lid returns naturally to a closed position rather than staying open or being left ajar, cold air retention is noticeably better than with sliding-lid alternatives. This contributes to more consistent internal temperatures during periods of high access — and it reduces frost build-up, which can otherwise become a real maintenance burden in busy settings.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the unit offers several practical advantages:

• Glass lid lets staff and customers locate stock without repeatedly opening the cabinet
• Hinged self-closing lid retains cold air more effectively than sliding-lid designs
• Integrated lock provides basic security in public-facing or shared environments
• Castors allow straightforward repositioning as floor layouts or seasonal requirements change
• Flat lid profile avoids overhead obstructions and suits varied floor plan configurations

Installation is uncomplicated. The unit runs from a standard mains supply and requires no specialist fitting beyond ensuring adequate ventilation clearance around the cabinet. Before positioning, it is worth confirming the floor is level and capable of bearing the loaded weight. The castors make initial placement easy, though the unit is best left stable once stocked rather than moved regularly.

The ST401 is well suited to convenience retailers, farm shops, petrol forecourts, cafés, and catering operations with a moderate frozen display requirement. It also functions capably as a back-of-house frozen ingredient store where space is at a premium. Sites with substantially higher capacity demands, or where staff need very frequent access throughout a busy service, may find a larger-capacity or upright alternative a better fit.

If you are weighing this unit against your specific layout or throughput requirements, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Polar G-Series 200-litre display chest freezer is a glass-lidded, open-top merchandising unit designed for selling and displaying frozen products at point of purchase. It is a floor-standing chest freezer with a curved glass surround and sliding glass panels, giving customers a clear view of the contents without needing to open the unit. Inside, twin baskets allow stock to be organised and rotated, which is useful when running multiple product lines alongside each other.

In a retail or foodservice environment, this type of unit is commonly used for ice cream, ice lollies, frozen desserts, and similar impulse-purchase frozen goods. It holds a consistent operating temperature between -18°C and -24°C, which is appropriate for most frozen confectionery and dessert products. The climate class 4 rating means it is designed to operate reliably in ambient temperatures up to 32°C — a practical consideration for locations like farm shops, service stations, or outdoor event catering where conditions can be warm.

From an operational standpoint, a few features reduce the day-to-day burden on staff:

• Sliding glass panels allow easy restocking and customer access without lifting a full lid
• Built-in castors make repositioning straightforward for cleaning or floor layout changes
• Internal rounded corners reduce the effort required during cleaning
• Quiet operation suits front-of-house or retail floor placement
• Twin baskets support basic stock organisation and product rotation

Installation is straightforward — this is a plug-in unit requiring a standard mains supply, with no specialist installation work needed. The unit uses R600a refrigerant and carries an energy rating of C. At 66kg, it is manageable to move into position with two people, particularly given the integrated castors. It is worth confirming that your floor surface is suitable for castor-mounted equipment, and that adequate ventilation is available around the unit to avoid performance issues in enclosed spaces.

This freezer is well suited to convenience stores, farm shops, petrol station forecourts, garden centres, and similar retail environments where frozen product merchandising is part of the sales operation. It is also used in some foodservice settings — festivals, event catering, or café front-of-house areas — where ice cream or similar products are sold directly to the public. If you are looking to merchandise larger volumes, or need a higher-capacity unit for a busier site, there are larger alternatives in the range worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this capacity is right for your footfall or product mix, we are happy to talk it through before you order.

The Tefcold ST701 is a large-capacity chest freezer fitted with a flat, double-glazed hinged glass lid. It is designed for commercial environments where frozen products need to be visibly displayed and kept at consistent freezing temperatures — typical applications include ice cream, frozen ready meals, frozen vegetables, and similar impulse or grab-and-go lines.

The hinged lid design is a practical advantage over sliding alternatives. A hinged lid naturally falls closed, which reduces the amount of time the cabinet is left open by customers or staff. This matters in a busy service environment because every unnecessary opening raises the cabinet temperature and forces the compressor to work harder to recover. Over the course of a trading day, that adds up both in energy consumption and in wear on the refrigeration system.

From an operational standpoint, the ST701 offers several practical benefits worth noting:

• Hinged lid closes automatically, reducing cold air loss during busy periods
• Double-glazed glass lid maintains product visibility without staff needing to open the unit
• Aluminium-framed lid construction provides durability in high-traffic environments
• Integrated lock supports loss prevention in retail settings
• Pre-fitted castors allow the unit to be repositioned without additional equipment

Installation is straightforward for a unit of this type — it requires a standard power supply and adequate floor space to allow lid clearance when fully open. Given the footprint of a 670-litre chest freezer, it is worth confirming ceiling height and available floor area before delivery. The castors are useful for repositioning within a space but are not a substitute for proper placement planning on arrival.

The ST701 is well suited to convenience stores, farm shops, food service counters, and similar retail or hospitality environments where frozen product display is a core part of the offer. It is a practical choice for medium to high-volume frozen sales. For smaller operations with limited floor space, a lower-capacity model in the ST range may be more appropriate, while very high-volume sites running continuous frozen service may benefit from a heavier-duty configuration.

If you are unsure whether this unit suits your available space or intended use, we are happy to talk it through before you place an order.

The Tefcold NIC301SCEB is a 286-litre chest freezer designed for open retail and food service display environments. Its defining feature is a curved, sliding glass lid that sits at a slight forward slope, allowing customers to view and access frozen products without the unit dominating the surrounding space. It is built as a self-contained, freestanding display unit rather than a back-of-house storage freezer, and is most commonly used for impulse frozen goods, ice cream, and packaged frozen retail products.

In busy service environments — ice cream parlours, delis, farm shops, convenience stores, and café counters — the open-access format encourages customer self-selection, which can meaningfully reduce staff handling time during peak periods. The sliding lid allows single-hand operation, and the curved glass presents products at a natural viewing angle without the distortion of flat-glass alternatives. The unit comes supplied with a basket set for organising stock by product line, which aids rotation and helps keep the cabinet looking presentable throughout service.

From an operational standpoint, key practical advantages include:

• Curved sliding lid for easy customer access and clear product visibility
• Supplied basket set supports organised stock rotation and tidy presentation
• Digital temperature display allows straightforward monitoring without opening the lid
• Lockable castors permit repositioning on the floor without tools, with the option to fix the unit once placed
• Rounded top trim and curved corners reduce sharp edges in customer-facing areas

The NIC301SCEB is a standard plug-in unit requiring a suitable 13-amp socket and adequate ventilation clearance around the cabinet — chest freezers draw ambient air across the condenser, so positioning against walls or in enclosed alcoves without sufficient airflow will affect performance and running costs. Consider ambient room temperature carefully: this type of unit is rated for operation within a specific climate class, and placing it in a very warm kitchen environment or near heat sources can cause the compressor to work harder to maintain temperature. It is best suited to a controlled retail or front-of-house environment rather than a hot kitchen service area.

This unit is well suited to smaller independent retailers, cafés, and food-to-go operators who need an attractive, accessible freezer display for a focused product range. For larger sites with higher frozen stock volumes or multiple product categories, a longer or higher-capacity cabinet may be more appropriate. If you are unsure whether this footprint and capacity matches your requirements, the team is happy to talk through what would work best for your space and service setup.

The Sterling Pro SPC461GC is a chest freezer with a curved sliding glass lid, offering a substantial amount of frozen storage capacity in a single freestanding unit. It uses R290 refrigerant — a natural hydrocarbon with low global warming potential — and is finished with a white exterior. The sliding glass lid allows operators and customers to identify contents without fully opening the unit, which makes it practical for both back-of-house storage and front-of-house service use.

In a commercial setting, chest freezers of this configuration are most commonly used for bulk frozen ingredient storage — holding stocks of meat, fish, frozen vegetables, or prepared items that are drawn down across a shift. The glass lid also makes the unit genuinely useful for front-of-house servery applications: ice cream service, frozen dessert display, and retail food operations where customers need to browse and select products quickly are all common fits.

From an operational standpoint, a few practical advantages are worth noting:

• Sliding glass lid keeps contents visible without fully breaking the cold seal
• Chest configuration retains cold air effectively when opened, supporting temperature recovery
• R290 refrigerant aligns with environmental compliance requirements increasingly seen in commercial specifications
• Large storage volume suits bulk holding requirements that smaller upright units cannot meet
• European manufacture typically supports consistent build quality and accessible spare parts

Installation is straightforward. This is a freestanding unit requiring a standard single-phase electrical supply and adequate clearance around the casing for ventilation. It should be positioned away from heat sources — ovens, direct sunlight, and poorly ventilated plant rooms all increase compressor load and running costs. The footprint is larger than an upright cabinet of comparable capacity, so it is worth measuring the intended location carefully before ordering, particularly in tighter kitchen layouts.

This unit is well suited to cafés, small restaurants, event caterers, and food retail operations that need reliable bulk frozen storage without the complexity of multi-door cabinets. It works as effectively in a back-of-house storeroom as it does in a front-of-house servery. Operations with significantly higher frozen storage demands, or where multiple frozen product categories need to be segregated, may find a larger unit or a second chest freezer more practical.

If you would like to talk through whether this capacity suits your service volumes, or how it fits alongside your existing cold storage, the team is happy to help you work it out before you commit.

The Tefcold FOCUS 106 is a 270-litre chest freezer designed primarily for the display and sale of ice cream, frozen desserts, and packaged frozen food. It features frameless curved sliding glass lids that sit flush when closed, giving customers a clear, unobstructed view of the contents without opening the unit. The grey exterior and clean lines make it a reasonable fit for retail counters, food service areas, and similar front-of-house environments where presentation matters alongside function.

In a busy service setting, the curved glass lids allow staff and customers to locate products quickly, which reduces the time the freezer is left open and helps the unit maintain stable holding temperatures during peak periods. Internal LED lighting improves product visibility without generating excessive heat inside the cabinet, which matters when you are displaying temperature-sensitive frozen goods. The castors make repositioning straightforward, which is useful during setup, deep cleaning, or seasonal floor layout changes.

From an operational standpoint, the FOCUS 106 offers a number of practical advantages worth noting:

• Frameless sliding lids reduce visual obstruction and improve product accessibility
• LED interior lighting supports product visibility without adding unwanted heat load
• Castors allow the unit to be relocated without specialist assistance
• Chest freezer configuration supports efficient cold retention when lids are opened frequently
• Compact footprint relative to capacity suits smaller retail or service areas

Installation is relatively straightforward. The unit runs on a standard single-phase supply and requires adequate clearance around the sides and rear for ventilation — restricting airflow to the condenser will affect performance and longevity. It is not suited to unventilated storerooms or locations where ambient temperatures regularly exceed the unit's design range. Castors are useful but the unit should be positioned on a level, load-bearing surface.

The FOCUS 106 is best suited to ice cream parlours, convenience stores, cafés, farm shops, and similar environments where frozen product display is central to the sales process. It is a single-unit display solution rather than a back-of-house storage freezer. Operators with higher-volume display requirements or those needing multiple bays should consider whether a larger or multi-unit configuration would be more appropriate for their throughput.

If you are unsure whether this unit will suit your space, your power supply, or the volume of product you need to hold, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Tefcold FOCUS 73 is a chest freezer designed for open retail display of ice cream and frozen food. Its frameless curved sliding glass lid allows customers to browse and select products without staff assistance — a practical arrangement for convenience stores, forecourts, farm shops, garden centres, and anywhere self-selection drives impulse purchases.

In everyday use, the curved glass keeps product clearly visible from a distance while the cabinet holds frozen stock at the temperatures required to keep it in good condition. Internal LED lighting supports consistent product presentation throughout trading hours, which is particularly useful in retail environments where ambient lighting varies. The unit operates on static cooling, which is well matched to the stable-temperature demands of a retail chest freezer — this is not a pull-down cabinet, and the system suits that purpose appropriately.

From an operational standpoint, the design offers several practical advantages:

• Frameless curved glass improves product visibility and encourages customer self-selection
• Sliding lids avoid the aisle obstruction associated with hinged alternatives
• Integrated LED lighting maintains consistent product presentation throughout trading hours
• Castors allow repositioning without emptying the cabinet
• Neutral grey exterior sits comfortably within most retail floor layouts

Installation is straightforward. The unit requires a standard single-phase supply and adequate clearance around the cabinet — particularly at the rear and sides — for the condenser to ventilate properly. Ambient temperature at the chosen location matters: positioning in a warm area or in direct sunlight can affect holding performance, so confirming the unit's climate class suits your site conditions before ordering is worthwhile.

This model is well suited to smaller retail operations where a single display chest handles the volume comfortably. For higher-footfall sites moving greater quantities of frozen product, a larger-capacity unit or multi-cabinet arrangement would be worth considering.

If you would like to talk through whether this unit fits your site layout or product range, we are happy to help before you commit.

The Tefcold IC401SCEB is a chest freezer designed primarily for display and sale of ice cream, gelato, and frozen retail products. The curved, sliding glass lids allow customers to view the contents clearly without the freezer needing to be opened, and the sloped profile gives a cleaner sightline across a counter or shop floor. At 352 litres, it offers a generous capacity for a single merchandising unit.

In a retail or food service environment where product is being pulled regularly throughout the day, the IC401SCEB holds up well. The temperature range accommodates both ready-to-scoop ice cream at the warmer end and harder-frozen storage at the lower end, which gives operators a degree of flexibility when the same unit needs to handle different product types across a trading day. A fan-assisted condenser helps maintain consistent temperatures during repeated lid openings, which matters in a busy service setting.

From a practical standpoint, the unit offers several features that reduce the operational burden on staff:

• Curved sliding glass lids allow product access without lifting heavy covers
• Integrated lock provides basic stock security during closed hours
• Defrost drain simplifies routine cleaning and water removal
• Heavy-duty castors, including lockable wheels, make repositioning straightforward
• Basket and divider set included, allowing organised product layout from day one

This is a freestanding unit that runs on a standard single-phase supply and requires reasonable clearance at the rear and sides for condenser airflow — adequate ventilation is important in warmer retail environments where ambient temperatures can affect performance. It arrives on castors, which helps with placement and routine cleaning access underneath, though the floor surface should be level and capable of bearing the loaded weight.

The IC401SCEB is well suited to ice cream parlours, gelato counters, farm shops, and food-to-go retailers looking for a display freezer that works as a merchandising unit as well as a storage solution. It is a mid-capacity unit — operators with very high throughput or larger floor areas may find a higher-capacity model better suited to their volume, while smaller countertop operations may not need this much space.

If you are unsure whether this unit is the right fit for your space or service style, the team is happy to talk through the options with you before you commit.

The Tefcold FOCUS 131 is a 352-litre chest freezer designed primarily for display and retail sale of frozen products. Its defining feature is the frameless curved sliding glass lid, which sits flush and allows customers or staff to see the full contents without opening the unit. This makes it particularly well suited to environments where product visibility drives purchasing decisions — ice cream parlours, farm shops, convenience stores, and food service outlets with a retail counter element.

In a working environment, the curved glass lid design keeps products accessible during busy periods without the cold-air loss associated with hinged lids that swing fully open. The internal LED lighting ensures frozen goods are clearly visible even in brightly lit retail spaces, and because LEDs run cool, they contribute less unwanted heat to the cabinet interior than older fluorescent alternatives.

From an operational standpoint, the key practical advantages of this unit are:

• Unobstructed product view through frameless curved glass encourages faster customer selection
• Sliding lids allow access from either side without disrupting adjacent display
• LED lighting maintains product visibility with low energy draw
• Smooth-rolling castors allow repositioning without heavy lifting or equipment moves
• Grey exterior finish suits neutral retail and food service environments without looking clinical

Installation is straightforward for a unit of this type — it operates on a standard single-phase supply and requires adequate floor-level clearance around the condenser for airflow. The castors make positioning flexible, but the unit should be kept away from direct heat sources and out of direct sunlight, both of which will affect running efficiency and temperature holding. Allow sufficient aisle space around the cabinet for customers to view and access the contents comfortably.

This freezer is well suited to lower-volume retail or food service display where presentation matters and throughput is moderate. Operators running high-volume frozen sales across multiple lines, or those needing to store bulk frozen product rather than display it, may find a larger or more industrially specified unit a better match for their requirements.

If you are unsure whether this cabinet fits your available space, expected sales volume, or existing refrigeration setup, the team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Tefcold IC201SCEB is a 176-litre chest freezer designed for open retail and service environments where frozen product needs to be both stored and displayed. The unit features a sloping profile with curved sliding glass lids, giving customers a clear view of the contents while keeping products at a stable frozen temperature. It is commonly used for ice cream, lollies, gelato, and similar impulse-purchase frozen goods in settings where visual display is as important as cold storage performance.

In practice, the fan-assisted condenser helps maintain consistent temperatures across the cabinet even during periods of frequent lid opening — a realistic expectation in any busy service environment. The adjustable temperature range makes the unit practical for operators who need to switch between softer serve-ready temperatures for ice cream and colder storage conditions for longer-term stock. Heavy-duty castors, two of which lock, allow the unit to be repositioned without difficulty, which is useful in seasonal or event-based setups where layout may change.

Key practical advantages for day-to-day operation include:

• Sliding curved glass lids for easy customer and staff access without lifting
• Integrated defrost drain to simplify routine cleaning and maintenance
• Lockable security to protect stock during unstaffed periods
• Included baskets with dividers to keep product lines separated and visible
• Castors for straightforward repositioning across level surfaces

Installation is straightforward — the unit is self-contained and requires only a standard mains supply and adequate ventilation clearance around the condenser. It is not designed for back-of-house storage in high-ambient temperature environments such as poorly ventilated kitchens, so placement in a front-of-house, servery, or retail area is more appropriate. The footprint suits smaller to medium operations; for higher-volume sites requiring greater storage depth or additional display capacity, a larger unit may be worth considering.

This freezer is well suited to ice cream parlours, gelato counters, cafés, farm shops, event caterers, and similar businesses where frozen impulse-purchase products are sold directly to customers. It is less suited to pure back-of-house bulk storage roles where display is not a factor.

If you are unsure whether this cabinet fits your space or service setup, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Tefcold NIC501SCEB is a 475-litre chest freezer designed for retail and food service environments where frozen product needs to be both accessible and visible. The curved sliding glass lid sits at a forward-sloping angle, giving customers a clear view of the contents from the front of the unit without requiring them to lean over. It is a format that works well wherever impulse purchase matters — ice cream freezers being the most obvious example, but equally relevant for frozen confectionery, pastry, and pre-packaged frozen goods in a retail or hospitality setting.

In terms of day-to-day operation, the unit is built to hold stable freezing temperatures through repeated lid openings during busy service periods, which is the primary demand placed on any display chest freezer. The digital temperature display gives staff a visible reference without needing to open the unit, which supports consistent monitoring in a fast-paced environment. Lockable castors allow the unit to be repositioned on a flat floor surface and secured in place once located, which is useful for seasonal layout changes or deep cleaning behind the unit.

Practical points worth considering before purchasing:

• Curved sliding glass lid provides clear product visibility without lifting
• Digital temperature display supports monitoring without opening the unit
• Lockable castors allow repositioning on suitable floor surfaces
• Supplied with a basket set for organised internal storage
• Rounded trim and curved corners reduce the risk of sharp edge contact in customer-facing areas

Installation requirements are straightforward — the unit runs on a standard single-phase supply and requires reasonable clearance around the condenser for ventilation. It is not suited to outdoor or unheated environments where ambient temperatures fall outside the unit's rated operating range, and like most chest freezers it should be positioned on a level surface. This is a freestanding unit and does not require plumbing.

The NIC501SCEB is well suited to ice cream parlours, independent convenience stores, delis, farm shops, cafés, and petrol forecourt retail. At 475 litres it sits at a practical mid-range capacity — large enough for a meaningful product range, compact enough to fit most retail floor plans. Sites with very high frozen product turnover, or those needing multi-door or island-style display, may find a higher-capacity alternative better matched to their throughput.

If you are unsure whether this unit suits your space or product volume, our team is happy to talk through the options — it is worth a conversation before committing.

The Tefcold IC101SC is a chest-style display freezer designed for ice cream, lollies, and wrapped impulse frozen products. A sliding flat glass lid keeps the contents visible to customers at point of sale while maintaining cabinet temperature during repeated openings — a practical format for retail environments where visibility drives impulse purchase.

The chest configuration suits this type of demand well. Cold air settles naturally into the cabinet and is not displaced as readily as it would be through a vertical door opening, which makes it a sensible choice for sites with regular but not relentless throughput across the day. It is not intended for bulk frozen food storage or high-turnover foodservice settings — a reach-in or serve-over configuration is generally the more appropriate choice for those environments.

Practical advantages for retail operators include:

• Sliding glass lid allows product selection without a full opening action
• Internal baskets help organise stock and support rotation without emptying the cabinet
• Castors allow repositioning on the shop floor without heavy lifting
• Chest format retains cold air effectively during frequent lid openings
• Compact footprint suits tighter retail spaces without sacrificing useful display capacity

Installation is straightforward — this is a freestanding plug-in unit requiring a standard mains supply. It does need reasonable ventilation clearance around the cabinet; placing it directly against a wall or inside an enclosed recess can cause heat build-up that puts unnecessary strain on the compressor over time. Allow adequate run-down time before loading product after first installation or following any power interruption.

The IC101SC is well suited to lower-volume retail sites — convenience stores, forecourts, cafés, and similar settings — where ice cream visibility at point of sale is a factor in sales. For busier sites or larger floor areas, higher-capacity chest freezer options are available that may offer a more appropriate capacity-to-footprint ratio for the volume being handled.

If you are unsure whether this cabinet is the right size for your space and product range, the team is happy to talk it through before you decide.

The Tefcold IC401SC is a chest-style display freezer designed for the retail sale of ice cream, lollies, and other frozen impulse products. It features a sliding flat glass lid that allows customers to view the contents directly, which is a practical consideration for any self-serve or assisted-serve frozen goods display. The unit is part of Tefcold's IC-SC range, which spans several capacities — the 401-litre version sits in the mid-range of the series and is among the more commonly specified sizes for retail environments.

In day-to-day use, the flat glass lid keeps the display clear and accessible without the visual obstruction of a curved or frosted alternative. The sliding mechanism allows customers or staff to access product easily during busy service periods without the lid needing to be lifted and held. For a retail setting where staff may be serving across multiple points simultaneously, this kind of passive-access design tends to work well in practice.

From an operational standpoint, the IC401SC offers a number of practical advantages:

• Sliding flat glass lid allows clear product visibility without lifting
• Internal baskets support organised product arrangement and stock rotation
• Storage space beneath the baskets provides useful overstock capacity
• Castors allow the unit to be repositioned or moved aside for cleaning
• Part of a multi-capacity range, so scaling up or down to suit your floor space is straightforward

Installation is straightforward for a freestanding unit of this type — it requires a standard single-phase mains supply and adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation and heat dispersal. It should not be positioned against a wall or in a confined recess without checking the manufacturer's clearance guidelines, as restricted airflow will affect refrigeration performance. The unit runs on castors rather than fixed feet, which makes positioning flexible but means it should be placed on a level, stable floor surface.

The IC401SC is well suited to convenience stores, independent cafés, farm shops, and similar retail environments where a clear impulse-purchase display is the primary requirement. It is not a storage-only chest freezer — the glass lid and display orientation are intended for customer-facing placement. For higher-volume sites or venues needing significantly greater capacity, a larger model within the range or a multi-unit layout may be more appropriate.

If you are unsure whether this capacity suits your product range and floor space, or if you need guidance on positioning and ventilation in your specific environment, our team is happy to work through the details with you before you commit.

The Tefcold ST501 is a 491-litre capacity chest freezer fitted with a flat double-glazed hinged glass lid, designed primarily for the display and storage of frozen goods in retail and foodservice environments. The glazed lid allows customers or staff to view the contents without opening the unit, while the hinged mechanism — rather than a sliding alternative — encourages the lid to close fully after each access, reducing cold air loss and ice build-up over time.

In practice, this type of unit is commonly used in convenience stores, farm shops, petrol forecourt shops, and café or deli settings where frozen food or ice cream needs to be both stored and visually accessible to customers. The hinged lid design tends to perform better in terms of temperature retention during busy periods compared with open-top or sliding-lid alternatives, because the unit is less likely to be left partially open during service. The aluminium-framed lid with integrated lock also adds a basic level of product security when the unit is unattended.

From an operational standpoint, the key practical advantages are:

• Hinged lid promotes full closure, supporting consistent temperature hold and lower running costs
• Double-glazed lid reduces condensation and allows product visibility without opening
• Integrated lid lock provides basic security during closed hours
• Pre-fitted castors allow repositioning without heavy lifting or specialist equipment
• Straightforward interior layout suits bulk frozen stock as well as packaged display items

Installation requirements are relatively straightforward — the unit requires a standard single-phase mains supply and adequate ventilation clearance around the casing to allow the refrigeration system to dissipate heat effectively. It is worth confirming floor loading capacity in older buildings, as a fully stocked chest freezer of this size carries considerable weight. Siting near direct heat sources or in poorly ventilated back-of-house areas is best avoided, as ambient temperature directly affects running efficiency.

The ST501 is well suited to independent retailers, small foodservice operators, and hospitality venues needing a reliable display freezer for moderate stock volumes. For sites with significantly higher throughput requirements, or where multiple product categories need separate temperature zones, a larger-capacity or multi-unit configuration may be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this unit is the right fit for your space and intended use, we are happy to talk it through before you commit to a purchase.

The Tefcold IC501SCEB is a 427-litre chest freezer with curved, sliding glass lids designed to display ice cream, frozen desserts, and similar frozen goods in a retail or catering environment. The sloping lid profile gives customers a clear view of the contents without needing to open the unit, which supports impulse purchase at the point of sale and helps maintain stable internal temperatures during browsing.

The fan-assisted condenser maintains consistent temperatures throughout the cabinet, which matters when the unit is sited in a warm front-of-house area or subject to repeated access during a busy service period. The temperature range covers both ready-to-serve ice cream at the warmer end of the scale and longer-term frozen storage at the colder end, giving operators some flexibility depending on what they are holding at any given time.

From a practical standpoint, the IC501SCEB offers several features that reduce day-to-day management effort:

• Curved sliding glass lids allow easy customer or staff access without fully opening the cabinet
• Integrated basket set with dividers supports organised stock rotation
• Defrost drain simplifies routine cleaning and maintenance
• Heavy-duty castors with lockable wheels allow repositioning without emptying the unit
• Integrated lock secures stock in public-facing environments

This unit runs on a standard single-phase supply and is designed for floor-level placement in retail or front-of-house catering areas. It does not require a dedicated drainage connection under normal operation, though the defrost drain should have somewhere to discharge to during cleaning. Bear in mind that chest freezers of this style are generally less suited to back-of-house storage roles where vertical reach-in units tend to work better for staff workflow.

The IC501SCEB is well suited to ice cream parlours, cafés, farm shops, delis, and similar retail catering operations where frozen goods need to be visible and accessible to customers. It is a practical choice for medium-volume display where a 400-litre-plus capacity covers a reasonable product range without requiring the footprint of a larger counter-depth unit. For higher-volume sites or those needing greater storage depth, a larger capacity model may be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether this unit suits your floor space, temperature environment, or display requirements, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Tefcold IC301SCEB is a 264-litre chest freezer designed primarily for displaying and merchandising ice cream, lollies, and frozen impulse products in commercial environments. The curved, sliding glass lids allow customers to view and access product without requiring staff assistance, making it a practical choice wherever self-serve or assisted display is part of the service model. The sloping lid profile is a deliberate design choice — it draws the eye and encourages customer engagement at point of sale.

In daily operation, the fan-assisted refrigeration system works to maintain consistent temperatures across the cabinet. The unit offers a temperature range suitable for both ready-to-scoop ice cream service and longer-term frozen storage, giving operators the flexibility to adapt the unit to seasonal demand or changing stock requirements. The condenser is designed for reliable performance during extended opening hours without significant temperature drift.

From an operational standpoint, the IC301SCEB includes several features that reduce the burden on day-to-day staff:

• Sliding curved glass lids for easy customer access and clear product visibility
• Castors with two lockable wheels for repositioning on the shop floor or service area
• Integrated defrost drain to simplify routine cleaning and maintenance
• Included basket set with dividers to keep product organised and accessible
• Security lock to protect stock during closed periods

This unit runs on a standard single-phase supply and does not require specialist installation beyond ensuring adequate ventilation around the condenser and a level, stable surface. The castors make positioning straightforward, though the cabinet's footprint and weight should be considered before placing it in a confined space. It is not designed for integration into a remote refrigeration system.

The IC301SCEB is well suited to ice cream parlours, farm shops, seaside retail outlets, garden centres, and similar food retail settings where impulse frozen product display is central to the offering. It is also used in some café and QSR environments where a self-serve freezer complements counter service. For operators with higher throughput requirements or a larger floor footprint, a bigger capacity unit may be a more appropriate choice.

If you are unsure whether this cabinet suits your layout, service model, or stock volumes, we are happy to talk through the options with you before you commit.

The Tefcold FOCUS 171 is a 484-litre chest freezer designed primarily for display and impulse sales applications. Its frameless curved sliding glass lids allow customers to view frozen product clearly without requiring staff assistance, making it well suited to self-serve retail formats, catering operations, and food-to-go environments where product visibility directly influences purchasing decisions.

In a busy service environment, the chest freezer format offers practical advantages over upright display alternatives. The deep, open interior accommodates a range of packaged frozen goods — from single-serve ice cream and novelties to larger bagged or boxed items — and the sliding lid design keeps cold air retention reasonable during peak trading periods when the unit is being opened frequently. Internal LED lighting ensures product is clearly visible even in lower-light settings such as events spaces or darker retail areas.

From an operational standpoint, this unit offers several day-to-day advantages:

• Frameless curved glass lids provide a clean, unobstructed product view for customers
• LED interior lighting improves product visibility without generating excess heat
• Castors allow the unit to be repositioned as floor layouts change
• Grey finish suits a range of retail and catering environments without drawing attention away from the product
• Chest configuration aids cold retention when the lid is opened regularly throughout the day

This is a free-standing unit requiring a standard mains electrical supply and adequate floor space for access on all sides. Being a chest freezer, it requires floor-level loading and retrieval, which is worth considering if staff are managing the unit throughout a busy shift. Ensure adequate ventilation clearance around the unit to maintain efficient running, particularly if it is being used in a warm or enclosed space.

The FOCUS 171 is best suited to retail food outlets, convenience operations, event catering, and hospitality venues looking to add visible frozen display capacity at point of sale. It is a practical single-unit solution rather than a high-volume storage freezer. Operators with significantly higher throughput requirements, or those needing walk-in or multi-deck capacity, may find a heavier-duty display solution more appropriate.

If you are unsure whether this unit fits your floor plan or service volume, the team is happy to talk through the options before you commit.

The Tefcold NIC401SCEB is a large-capacity chest freezer fitted with a curved sliding glass lid, designed for displaying and storing frozen products in customer-facing environments. The curved profile of the lid allows customers to view the contents clearly from above and from the front, making it a practical choice for self-serve or assisted-serve frozen product displays rather than straightforward back-of-house storage.

In a retail or service setting, the sliding lid arrangement keeps product accessible throughout a busy shift without the physical effort of lifting a full-length hinged cover. The generous capacity supports a substantial range of product lines side by side — useful during peak periods when restocking frequency needs to be minimised. Tefcold build this unit for the demands of consistent commercial operation, and it is commonly used in environments where the freezer is running continuously through long trading hours.

Practical day-to-day features include:

• Curved sliding glass lid for clear product visibility and easy customer access
• Internal baskets for organised product separation and stock rotation
• Digital temperature display for straightforward monitoring
• Lockable castors allowing repositioning without requiring a full clear-out
• Rounded trim and corners that reduce the risk of snagging in tighter retail spaces

Installation is straightforward for a unit of this type — it runs on a standard mains supply and requires no water connection or specialist ventilation. Allow adequate clearance around the condenser to ensure efficient operation, particularly in warmer environments such as units positioned near service counters or in poorly ventilated stockrooms. The castors make initial positioning manageable, though the overall size and weight of a loaded chest freezer of this capacity means siting decisions are best made before it is stocked.

This model is well suited to ice cream parlours, cafes, convenience stores, farm shops, and petrol forecourts where frozen product display is part of the retail offer. If your requirement is primarily back-of-house frozen storage rather than display, a solid-lid model may be a more cost-effective and energy-efficient choice. For higher-volume sites or multi-door display requirements, it is worth considering a larger or supplementary unit.

If you are unsure whether this freezer fits your floor plan, ambient conditions, or product range, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Tefcold NIC201SCEB is a freestanding chest freezer built for front-of-house display rather than back-of-house storage. Its defining feature is a pair of forward-sloping curved glass lids that slide open independently, giving customers a clear sightline into the cabinet without needing to reach or lean over the unit. It is the kind of freezer commonly found in cafés, delis, farm shops, convenience stores, and petrol forecourts where frozen products — ice cream, frozen desserts, ready meals, and similar lines — are sold directly to customers.

Through the repeated open-and-close cycles typical of a busy retail or catering environment, the unit holds its temperature consistently. The curved glass profile helps retain cold air when the lids are closed, which matters when footfall is high and the cabinet is being accessed regularly throughout the day. Internal baskets divide the storage space by product line and lift out cleanly for restocking or cleaning without disrupting the rest of the cabinet.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the practical advantages are straightforward:

• Curved sliding lids improve product visibility at the point of sale
• Independent lid sections allow access to one end without opening the full cabinet
• Removable baskets speed up restocking and routine cleaning
• Castors with locking brakes allow the unit to be repositioned and fixed in place
• Digital temperature display supports simple, consistent temperature monitoring

Installation is straightforward — the unit requires a standard mains connection and sufficient ventilation clearance around the cabinet. It is worth confirming the floor can support the loaded weight and that there is adequate clear space for the lids to slide fully open during restocking. This unit is not well suited to positions immediately beside cooking equipment or in areas where ambient temperatures are consistently elevated, as this places additional load on the refrigeration system.

This freezer is best suited to sites selling frozen products directly to customers at the point of display. It is not designed as a high-volume bulk storage unit, and for busier sites with larger stock requirements or more intensive daily use, a higher-capacity model would be worth considering.

If you would like to talk through whether this cabinet suits your space, product range, or expected service volumes, we are happy to help.

The Polar G-Series display chest freezer is a 270-litre glass-lid unit designed for retail and front-of-house frozen food display. It holds temperature steadily between -18°C and -24°C and uses R290 refrigerant, making it a practical choice for operators who need reliable frozen storage in a customer-facing setting. Three internal storage baskets help keep contents organised, and the curved sliding glass lid gives customers a clear view of what's available without allowing significant cold air loss when opened.

In service, the unit performs consistently across a standard retail or hospitality day. It handles the kind of repeated lid opening common in a busy convenience store or farm shop without significant temperature drift, and the steel construction stands up well to everyday commercial use. The G-Series range is rated to operate in ambient temperatures up to 32°C, which makes it suitable for environments that can warm up during trading hours — a common issue in service stations and summer farm shops.

From an operational standpoint, the key advantages are straightforward:

• Digital controls keep temperature management simple for front-of-house staff
• Built-in castors allow repositioning without heavy lifting or specialist help
• Quiet running means it can sit in customer-facing areas without being intrusive
• The curved glass lid encourages browsing and supports impulse purchases of frozen goods
• R290 refrigerant carries a low global warming potential, relevant for operators with sustainability considerations

Installation is straightforward — the unit requires a standard single-phase mains connection and no external plumbing or drainage. At 60kg it's manageable to move with two people, and the castors help with final positioning. Allow adequate clearance around the unit for airflow, particularly at the rear and sides. It carries an energy rating of C, which is worth considering if the unit will run continuously in a high-ambient environment.

This freezer is well suited to convenience stores, farm shops, garden centres, service stations, and similar retail settings where frozen products need to be displayed accessibly to customers. It is not designed for high-volume back-of-house storage in busy production kitchens. Operators needing significantly greater capacity, or those running multiple units, may find a larger or upright alternative better matched to their throughput.

If you're unsure whether this unit is the right fit for your space or sales volume, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Tefcold IC501SC is a large-capacity chest freezer designed primarily for ice cream display and retail sale. It features a sliding flat glass lid that allows customers to view the full contents without needing to open the unit, keeping product visible and accessible across a busy service counter or retail floor. The unit sits on castors and comes supplied with a set of storage baskets to help organise stock by flavour or product line, with additional space beneath the basket arrangement for reserve inventory.

In a working retail or food service environment, a chest freezer of this type earns its keep during sustained busy periods — the flat glass lid seals reliably when closed, helping the unit hold temperature even after frequent customer access. The 491-litre capacity means operators can carry meaningful display stock without constantly rotating from a back-of-house reserve, which is a practical advantage during peak trading hours such as weekend afternoons or summer service periods.

From an operational standpoint, the key advantages are straightforward:

• Flat glass lid gives customers an unobstructed view of full stock without opening
• Castors allow the unit to be repositioned or pulled out for cleaning without heavy lifting
• Basket configuration helps organise product lines and manage stock rotation
• Large internal volume reduces the frequency of restocking runs during service
• Part of a sized range, so operators can match capacity to footprint and sales volume

Installation is relatively uncomplicated — the IC501SC runs on a standard single-phase supply and requires no water connection or specialist ventilation beyond adequate airflow around the unit. It is worth ensuring the floor can take the loaded weight and that there is sufficient clearance at the sides and rear for the condenser to breathe. Positioning away from direct sunlight or heat-generating equipment will also help the refrigeration system work efficiently.

This freezer is best suited to ice cream parlours, cafés with a retail counter, convenience stores, and similar settings where customer-facing display and reasonable capacity are both priorities. Operators with very high-volume throughput or those needing multiple units across a larger site may find a heavier-duty or larger-format model a better long-term fit. Equally, smaller countertop or compact chest options are available for sites where floor space is limited.

If you are unsure whether the IC501SC is the right size or format for your site, our team is happy to talk through the options with you before you commit.

The Tefcold IC301SC is a chest-style display freezer designed specifically for ice cream and impulse frozen goods. It operates as both a working freezer and a point-of-sale display unit, using a flat sliding glass lid to keep product visible and accessible without compromising holding temperature. The 296-litre capacity positions it as a mid-range option within Tefcold's IC-SC chest freezer line, suitable for outlets where display space and throughput need to be balanced against floor space.

In a busy retail or catering environment, consistent temperature holding during peak trading periods is what matters most. The IC301SC is built to maintain stable freezing conditions even when the lid is opened frequently throughout the day — a common pattern in ice cream service where customers are browsing and staff are serving quickly in succession. The unit comes supplied with internal storage baskets, which help keep different product lines organised and support efficient stock rotation during service.

From a practical standpoint, this freezer offers several day-to-day operational advantages:

• Flat sliding glass lid allows clear product visibility without condensation blocking the view
• Internal baskets support organised stock layout and faster service
• Heavy-duty castors allow repositioning without requiring additional equipment
• Under-basket space provides secondary storage for backup stock
• Straightforward interior design makes end-of-day cleaning manageable

Installation requirements are relatively straightforward — the IC301SC runs on a standard single-phase supply and requires adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation, particularly at the rear and sides. It is not suitable for installation in unventilated enclosures or outdoor environments. As a chest freezer with a top-access lid, it is worth considering aisle width and customer flow when positioning it on the shop floor.

This model is well suited to ice cream parlours, cafés, delis, farm shops, and convenience retailers with moderate to good sales volume. It fits comfortably where a smaller undercounter unit would be insufficient but a full-length island freezer would be excessive. Operators running very high-volume service or needing to hold a wider product range may find a larger-capacity model within the same range more appropriate.

If you are weighing up which size or configuration would best suit your layout and service pattern, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Polar G-Series display chest freezer is a glass-surround merchandising unit designed for the front-of-house presentation and self-service of frozen products such as ice cream, ice lollies, and similar impulse items. With sliding glass lids and a 270-litre capacity, it allows customers to browse and select products directly, making it a practical choice wherever frozen treats are sold rather than served.

In busy retail and catering environments, this style of unit earns its keep during peak periods — think school holidays, event days, or busy service queues — when customers need clear sight of what's available and staff need quick replenishment access. The sliding glass panels allow restocking without significantly disrupting the display, and three internal baskets help maintain product organisation when stock is turning over quickly. The unit is rated for ambient conditions up to 32°C, which makes it workable in warm retail spaces, though placement away from direct heat sources and sunlight is advisable to avoid compromising performance.

From an operational standpoint, the G-Series chest freezer is straightforward to run day to day:

• Sliding glass lids allow customer access without fully exposing the cabinet
• Three internal baskets help separate product lines and maintain a tidy display
• Built-in castors make repositioning straightforward without requiring extra handling
• Internal rounded edges simplify cleaning and reduce harbourage points
• Quiet operation makes it suitable for customer-facing areas

Installation is relatively straightforward — the unit runs on a standard single-phase supply and requires no fixed plumbing or drainage. It arrives on castors and can be positioned on a flat, level floor surface. Bear in mind that chest freezers of this type need adequate clearance around the condenser for ventilation; positioning flush against walls or in enclosed alcoves can affect efficiency and longevity. The unit is not designed for storage in unheated outbuildings or external environments.

This unit is well suited to convenience stores, farm shops, garden centres, service stations, seaside kiosks, and similar retail settings where impulse frozen sales are part of the offer. It also works in catering environments where pre-packaged frozen desserts are sold directly to customers rather than plated in a kitchen. If your site requires a significantly larger display footprint or higher-volume frozen storage, it is worth considering a larger-capacity model before committing.

If you are unsure whether this unit is the right fit for your space or sales volume, we are happy to talk it through.
