The Hollowick Firefly is a votive-style glass table lamp designed for front-of-house use in restaurants, hotels, bars and event spaces. The satin dark blue glass diffuses candlelight or a small flame to produce a soft, consistent glow at table level. Each unit comes complete with a cradle and handle, making it straightforward to transport between tables and to remove for cleaning or refuelling. This listing covers a pack of twelve lamps, which suits operators who need a uniform table setting across a full dining room or function space.

In a busy hospitality environment, consistency of presentation matters as much as the lamp itself. The cradle keeps the glass secure on the table during service, and the handle allows staff to handle warm lamps safely and efficiently during a turn. The satin finish reduces glare compared to clear glass and holds its appearance well with regular use. Packs of twelve make stock management simpler for venues that run multiple covers per evening or that need to maintain a reserve for breakages.

  • Uniform table presentation across a full dining room or function floor
  • Cradle secures the lamp during service, reducing the risk of knocks
  • Handle allows safe, efficient handling by front-of-house staff
  • Satin finish softens the light output for a comfortable dining atmosphere
  • Pack quantity reduces per-unit cost and supports breakage stock management

These lamps require a compatible Hollowick liquid or gel fuel insert to operate. They are not designed for use with taper candles or open flame without an appropriate insert. The glass should be inspected regularly and any cracked or chipped units replaced, as damaged glass can affect both safety and presentation.

The Firefly in dark blue suits venues with a cooler or more contemporary colour scheme. Hollowick produces the Firefly in a range of colours and finishes, so if you are matching an existing table setting or specifying for a new fit-out, it is worth checking availability across the range. If you are unsure which colour, finish or fuel type best suits your venue, the team is happy to help you work through the options before you order.

Frequently asked questions

What fuel type do these Hollowick Firefly lamps use?

The Firefly glass lamp is designed for use with Hollowick-compatible liquid paraffin or gel fuel inserts, which are purchased separately. They are not intended for use with taper candles or loose wax, and using an incompatible fuel source may affect both performance and safety.

Is a pack of 12 the right quantity for a typical restaurant dining room?

That depends on your cover count and how frequently you turn tables. Twelve lamps will cover a small to mid-sized dining room with one lamp per table, but venues running higher covers or multiple function spaces often order in larger multiples to allow for cleaning rotations and breakage stock. If you are specifying for a larger fit-out, it is worth calculating a small buffer above your actual table count.

How should the glass lamps be cleaned and maintained during service?

Allow the glass to cool fully before handling for cleaning. The satin glass surface can be wiped down with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners that may mark the finish. Inspect each lamp regularly for chips or cracks, and remove any damaged units from service immediately, as compromised glass affects both presentation and safe handling.
