Jay-Be

The Jay-Be Contract Folding Bed is a purpose-built guest bed designed for regular, repeated use in commercial environments such as hotels, serviced apartments, and hospitality venues. Unlike domestic folding beds, this model is constructed to exceed British, European, and North American safety standards, making it a reliable choice wherever guest accommodation must meet a professional standard of safety and durability.

The frame is manufactured from heavy-gauge mild steel with a durable epoxy paint finish, providing resistance to the knocks and handling that come with regular storage and deployment. The square link mesh base distributes weight evenly and is designed to withstand sustained use without sagging or deforming. The deep spring interior mattress is tailored in a water-resistant, high-performance fabric — a practical consideration in housekeeping environments where spills and cleaning routines are part of daily operation.

From an operational standpoint, the bed is straightforward to deploy and store. Key practical features include:

• Legs that open automatically as the bed is unfolded, reducing setup time
• 360-degree castors for easy movement between rooms or storage areas
• Compact folded profile suited to linen cupboards and storage corridors
• Water-resistant mattress fabric supporting standard cleaning protocols
• Lifetime frame guarantee reflecting the build quality expected in contract use

At 30kg, the bed requires two people to move safely between floors without lift access, which is worth factoring into housekeeping workflows. The folded dimensions are practical for most commercial storage spaces, though it is worth measuring available storage areas before ordering.

This bed is well suited to hotels, B&Bs, and serviced accommodation that need dependable extra beds for occasional or regular guest use. For venues with very high turnover or particularly demanding deployment schedules, it is worth discussing whether a heavier-duty specification would be more appropriate.

If you are equipping multiple rooms or want to confirm suitability for your specific setup, the team is happy to help you work through the options.
