The Beaumont Metrix SL is a 35.5ml optic-style spirit measure designed for bar and licensed hospitality use. It dispenses a fixed 35.5ml measure — the standard single serve in many licensed premises — and is built around a non-drip mechanism to keep the bottle neck and bar surface clean during service.

In a busy bar environment, consistency and speed matter. The Metrix SL's mechanism is designed to deliver a reliable, repeatable measure without requiring the operator to watch the dispense closely. The non-drip valve and cork fitting help reduce wastage and keep service moving cleanly, which matters during a busy Friday or Saturday evening when the bar is under sustained pressure.

Fixed 35.5ml dispense for consistent, compliant measures
Non-drip mechanism reduces spillage and wastage at the bar
Advanced cork design for a secure, stable bottle fit
Lightweight plastic construction at 105g for easy handling
Suitable for standard spirit bottle necks used in licensed trade

Installation is straightforward — the measure fits directly to a standard spirit bottle using the cork fitting. No tools or equipment are required. It is worth checking bottle neck compatibility if you are using it with less common bottle formats, as neck dimensions do occasionally vary between suppliers and spirit brands.

The Metrix SL is well suited to licensed bars, restaurants with a bar operation, and hospitality venues where 35.5ml is the required single measure. If your operation requires a different measure size — 25ml is the legal single in some regions, and doubles are common in others — it is worth confirming the correct measure for your licence before ordering.

If you are unsure which measure size is right for your operation or have questions about fitting, the team is happy to help.

Frequently asked questions

Is 35.5ml the correct measure size for my licensed premises?

Permitted single spirit measures in the UK are either 25ml or 35ml, with 35ml broadly accepted as the standard single in many premises. The Metrix SL dispenses 35.5ml, which aligns with the 35ml single measure standard. If your premises licence specifies 25ml singles, you would need a 25ml measure instead. It is worth confirming with your licensing documentation before ordering.

Will this measure fit all standard spirit bottles?

The Metrix SL uses a cork fitting designed for standard spirit bottle necks as used across the licensed trade. The vast majority of mainstream spirit bottles are compatible, but neck dimensions can occasionally vary with less common or import brands. If you are using it with unusual bottle formats, it is worth checking compatibility before committing to a large order.

How should the Metrix SL be cleaned and maintained?

Spirit measures should be cleaned regularly to prevent sticky residue build-up from sugary liqueurs and flavoured spirits, which can affect the mechanism over time. The Metrix SL can be removed from the bottle for cleaning. Following the manufacturer's guidance on disassembly and avoiding abrasive cleaners will help maintain the valve mechanism and extend service life.
