The Libbey Super Schooner is a large-format beer glass with a 1.6-litre capacity, designed for venues that serve schooner-style or sharing drinks. Each glass is made from glass and supplied in packs of six, making them a practical choice when stocking or replenishing a bar.

At this capacity, these glasses are well suited to venues that offer yard-of-ale style drinks, oversized cocktails, or novelty beer serves. They work particularly well in pub gardens, sports bars, and casual dining environments where larger, shareable serves are a feature of the offer rather than a one-off request. The volume means a single glass can hold a full sharing portion without the need for jugs or additional vessels.

  • Large 1.6-litre capacity suits novelty and sharing drink serves
  • Dishwasher safe construction supports efficient turnaround in busy service
  • Supplied in a pack of six for straightforward bar stocking
  • Glass construction delivers the clarity and weight customers expect
  • Suitable for beer, cocktails, and other large-format serves

These glasses are dishwasher safe, which matters when volume service is involved — oversized glassware that requires hand-washing can create a bottleneck during busy periods. That said, at this size they will occupy more rack space per unit than standard pint glasses, which is worth factoring in when planning wash cycles.

They are best suited to licensed venues, bars, and casual dining operations that actively promote oversized or novelty serves. If you are buying primarily for standard pint service, a conventional pint or half-pint range would be a more efficient fit.

If you are unsure whether this glass suits your service style or are looking to build out a broader glassware range, the team is happy to help you think it through.

Frequently asked questions

Are these glasses suitable for everyday high-volume bar service?

They are well suited to venues where oversized or novelty serves are a regular part of the drinks offer. For standard pint or half-pint service, a conventional glass range would give you better rack efficiency and more straightforward handling during busy periods.

How do these glasses hold up in a commercial glasswasher?

The glasses are dishwasher safe, which makes them practical for commercial use. At 1.6 litres they are physically large, so it is worth confirming they fit your glasswasher basket dimensions before committing to a significant quantity — rack space per cycle will be less than with standard glassware.

How many packs would a typical bar need to hold as working stock?

That depends on how frequently the serve features on your menu and your wash cycle turnaround. For a venue offering this as a regular menu item, having at least two to three packs in circulation is a reasonable starting point, allowing for breakages and concurrent service without waiting on the glasswasher.
