Libbey
Libbey Symbio Coupe Cocktail Glasses 415ml (Pack of 12)
£40.21(£48.25 inc VAT)
The Libbey Symbio coupe is a stemmed cocktail glass designed for venues that serve classic and contemporary cocktails, mocktails, and low- or no-alcohol beverages. With a wide, shallow bowl and a broad stem, it presents drinks cleanly and holds its shape in the hand — useful during a busy bar shift when speed of service matters as much as presentation.
In a working bar environment, glassware takes a great deal of punishment. The Symbio range is produced with Libbey's Safedge rim treatment, which reinforces the most vulnerable part of the glass against chipping during service, stacking, and washing. The glasses are dishwasher-safe, which keeps turnaround practical in high-volume settings without requiring hand-polishing before every use.
A few practical points worth noting for operators:
- Safedge rim construction reduces chipping during normal commercial use
- Dishwasher-safe for straightforward post-service cleaning
- Wide-bowl coupe profile suited to stirred-down and chilled cocktail serves
- Supplied in cases of 12, making stock management straightforward
- Glass construction — handle and store with standard glassware care
The coupe format is well suited to bars, hotel lounges, and restaurant cocktail programmes where presentation is part of the offer. It is less practical for high-turnover venues where a more robust tumbler-style glass might reduce breakage costs over time. For operations running an extensive cocktail menu, having adequate glass stock to cover peak service without repeated runs through the glasswasher is worth planning for.
If you are building out a new bar set-up or want to discuss quantities, glass types, or how this fits alongside other glassware in the Symbio range, the team is happy to help you work through it.

Frequently asked questions
Are these glasses suitable for a high-volume cocktail bar?
They are well suited to cocktail bars and hotel lounges where presentation matters. For very high-turnover operations, it is worth factoring in adequate stock levels so glasses are not being rushed through the washer repeatedly during a single service period — having sufficient quantity in rotation reduces breakage risk and keeps service smooth.
What type of drinks is the coupe format best suited to?
The wide, shallow bowl is designed for stirred-down or chilled cocktails served without ice — classic coupes, spritzes, and similar low- or no-alcohol serves. It is less practical for drinks served over ice or with a lot of garnish, where a taller glass with more depth would be more functional.
How should these glasses be cared for in a commercial setting?
The glasses are dishwasher-safe and the Safedge rim treatment provides additional resistance to chipping during normal commercial washing. Standard glassware practice applies — avoid stacking bowl-to-bowl, use appropriate glasswasher racks, and store upright or inverted on a clean surface to protect the rim between services.
