Lincat Hot Food Merchandisers

The Lincat UMS50D is a freestanding upright heated merchandiser designed to hold and present hot food at safe serving temperatures in self-service or assisted-service environments. Constructed from stainless steel with toughened glass panels, it keeps food visible and correctly tempered between preparation and the point of service.

In a cafeteria, canteen or grab-and-go setting, this kind of unit proves its worth during extended service periods when food must be held without losing quality or visual appeal. The thermostatic control allows operators to dial in an appropriate holding temperature for different food types, while the built-in humidity function helps prevent food from drying out or developing a skin — a practical problem with dry-heat holders that can make food look and taste unappetising well before service ends. The illuminated interior keeps the display presentable and naturally draws customers' attention without any additional effort from serving staff.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the UMS50D offers several practical advantages:

• Stay-cool door handles reduce burn risk during busy service periods
• Two service doors allow easy restocking without disrupting the display
• Humidity control helps maintain food appearance and reduce holding waste
• Freestanding, portable design allows repositioning to suit changing servery layouts
• Static shelving keeps the interior straightforward to clean between services

As a plug-in unit, the UMS50D requires only a suitable mains socket and adequate clear space around it for ventilation and safe access. No fixed installation is needed, which gives operators the flexibility to relocate the unit if service layouts change seasonally or by event.

The UMS50D is well suited to cafés, staff canteens, school dining facilities, hotel buffet serveries and similar environments where a moderate volume of hot food needs to be held and presented attractively. It is not intended for high-throughput production holding, and operations with very large or extended service volumes may find a higher-capacity cabinet a better match for their needs.

If you are weighing up whether this unit suits your service volumes or servery layout, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Lincat D5H/75S is a freestanding heated display merchandiser designed for self-service food counters. It holds hot food at consistent serving temperatures while keeping product visible and accessible to customers. Built-in thermostatic control works alongside a humidity function to maintain food quality during service — a combination that directly addresses the drying and shrinkage that commonly affects heated display units without moisture management.

In a working café, canteen or food-to-go environment, keeping displayed food presentable across a full service period is a genuine operational challenge. The humidity feature is particularly useful for pastries, savouries and hot snacks, which are less likely to deteriorate in appearance before they are sold. The self-service front doors allow customers to help themselves, which suits counter layouts where staff availability is limited or where faster throughput is needed during busy periods.

For day-to-day operation, the practical advantages of this cabinet include:

• Consistent holding temperature reduces food waste across extended service periods
• Humidity control keeps baked goods and savouries looking presentable throughout service
• Self-service doors support faster customer throughput without staff intervention
• Extruded aluminium frame with toughened safety glass is robust and straightforward to clean
• Heating can be switched off for use as an ambient display, adding counter flexibility

The D5H/75S runs on mains electricity and requires a suitable power supply at the installation point. It is a freestanding unit intended for placement on a food service counter or along a floor line. Before positioning it, confirm there is adequate clearance for the self-service doors to open fully without obstruction, and that the surface or floor can support the loaded weight of the unit. No gas or water connections are required.

This cabinet is well suited to smaller cafés, workplace canteens, convenience retail and food-to-go operators running a moderate hot snack or pastry offer. For higher-footfall sites or operations with a broader product range requiring greater capacity, a wider or multi-deck heated merchandiser is likely to be a more practical fit.

If you would like to talk through whether this cabinet suits your counter layout or service volumes, the team is happy to help before you place an order.

The Lincat C6H/100S is a countertop heated merchandiser designed for the display and holding of hot food in self-service and assisted-service environments. Its curved toughened glass front gives customers a clear, unobstructed view of the food on offer, while the extruded aluminium frame with metallic silver finish presents well through the repeated wear of daily service. A front self-service door allows customers to help themselves without requiring staff to be positioned at the unit throughout the meal period.

Where this unit earns its place is in operations where food spends time on display before it reaches the customer. The built-in humidity control works alongside thermostatic temperature regulation to reduce the drying effect that sustained heated display can cause. In a cafeteria, workplace restaurant, or school servery where a dish may sit on show for an hour or more, that combination makes a meaningful difference to the texture and appearance of the food by the time it is served.

• Humidity control helps retain food texture and appearance during longer holding periods
• Thermostatic regulation allows temperature to be matched to the food type being held
• Curved glass front maximises product visibility from the customer side
• Self-service door suits both staffed and unattended servery configurations
• Aluminium frame wipes down quickly between service periods

As a countertop unit, it requires a stable surface with adequate load capacity and clear access around any ventilation points. If it is being fitted into a modular servery run, it is worth confirming compatibility with adjacent equipment before ordering, particularly where counter heights and depths need to align.

This model is well suited to cafeterias, staff restaurants, school food service, and smaller hospitality operations where a reliable, presentable heated display is needed for a moderate range of hot items. It works best where self-service access aligns with the service style in use. For higher-volume operations or sites requiring greater shelf capacity, a heavier-duty model within the range may be worth considering.

If you would like to talk through how this unit would fit within your existing servery setup, our team is happy to work through the details with you.

The Lincat D5H/75B is a countertop heated display unit designed to hold hot food at the correct serving temperature during front-of-house service. It combines an illuminated, glass-fronted cabinet with a built-in humidity function — a practical feature that sets it apart from basic heated displays and makes a meaningful difference over longer service windows.

Maintaining food quality through an extended lunch service or an all-day breakfast offer is where this unit earns its place. Without humidity control, heated display cabinets tend to dry food out relatively quickly, leading to wasted product and a less appealing counter. The D5H/75B addresses this directly, allowing operators to hold a broader range of food types for longer without the same deterioration in appearance or texture. Thermostatic temperature control gives flexibility across different product types, and the unit can also operate in ambient mode when heat is not required — useful for bakery items or cold-display periods between services.

• Humidity function reduces food drying and waste during extended display periods
• Rear sliding service doors allow restocking without disrupting the front counter
• Illuminated interior improves product visibility and supports customer choice
• Thermostatic control allows temperature to be matched to the product being held
• Ambient display mode adds flexibility across different parts of the day

Installation is straightforward — the unit sits on an existing counter surface and connects to a standard electrical supply. Position matters more than people expect: avoid placing the unit in a direct draught or close to a canopy extraction system, as either can pull heat away and compromise holding performance. It is also worth confirming your counter depth before ordering, as rear-door access for restocking needs to be factored into the layout.

This unit is well suited to cafés, staff restaurants, hotel serveries, and food-to-go retail settings where a compact, presentable heated display is needed for a modest range of products. It is not intended for high-volume production environments or large-scale self-service operations, where a heavier-duty or higher-capacity display would be more appropriate.

If you are working through counter layout or trying to match display capacity to your service pattern, we are happy to help you think it through before you order.

The Lincat UMS50 is a freestanding, upright heated merchandiser designed to hold and present hot food at safe serving temperatures across a defined service period. Built from stainless steel with toughened safety glass panels and fixed display shelves, it is intended for front-of-house use where customers or staff select food directly from a visible display rather than collecting from a kitchen pass.

Units of this type are most commonly found in staff canteens, hospital catering operations, cafeteria serveries, and cafés holding a selection of hot savouries during a morning or lunchtime service window. The thermostatic control allows holding temperature to be set to suit the food on display, while the humidity function helps retain moisture and prevents food from drying or deteriorating in appearance during extended holding — a common operational problem with heated cabinets that lack this feature.

From a day-to-day service perspective, the UMS50 offers several practical advantages:

• Illuminated interior improves product visibility and encourages customer selection
• Humidity control reduces food deterioration during extended display periods
• Rear service door allows restocking without disrupting the front display
• Stay-cool door handles reduce burn risk in busy self-service areas
• Plug-in design requires no fixed installation or extraction services

Because the unit needs only a standard electrical connection and no plumbed or extraction services, setup and repositioning are straightforward. It is worth considering floor space carefully and positioning the unit so that staff can access the rear door to restock without obstructing customer flow.

The UMS50 is well suited to lower-to-medium volume operations where a compact, self-contained hot display is the priority. For higher-volume sites, or where a broader range of food types needs to be held simultaneously across a longer service period, a larger-capacity unit may be worth considering.

If you are weighing up whether this unit fits your service setup, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Lincat D5H/100B is a free-standing heated display cabinet designed to hold and present hot food at service temperature in customer-facing environments. It is commonly used in staff restaurants, food-to-go outlets, cafés, school canteens, and hospitality serveries where hot snacks, pastries, or pre-plated items need to remain warm and visually presentable throughout the service period.

Where this cabinet offers a practical advantage over simpler heated displays is in its approach to temperature management. Thermostatic control is paired with a built-in humidity function, which helps retain moisture in the food rather than relying on dry heat alone. In practice this means less surface deterioration and a more presentable product at the end of service — not just immediately after loading. The heating can also be switched off entirely, allowing the cabinet to operate as an ambient display when heated service is not required, which adds useful day-part flexibility for operators running varied menus across a shift.

From a front-of-house standpoint, the D5H/100B offers several practical advantages:

• Illuminated interior improves product visibility and supports customer self-selection
• Rear sliding service doors allow staff to restock without disrupting the customer-facing presentation
• Humidity control reduces food waste from drying and surface deterioration during extended display
• Ambient mode extends usability beyond heated service periods
• Toughened safety glass and aluminium frame construction is durable and straightforward to wipe down

The cabinet requires a standard mains electrical connection and should be positioned with adequate clearance at the rear for access and ventilation. It is worth confirming the footprint against your available counter or floor space before ordering. This is a single-unit format — operators running longer servery counters or higher-throughput sites may find a larger-capacity model within the range more appropriate for their cover numbers.

This model is well suited to small and medium catering operations: workplace restaurants, independent cafés, hotel grab-and-go counters, and school serveries where a reliable, presentable hot food display is needed without the complexity of a larger heated gantry.

If you are weighing up whether the capacity suits your typical service volumes, or how this would fit within an existing servery layout, we are happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Lincat UM50 is a freestanding upright heated merchandiser designed to hold pre-prepared hot food at a safe and consistent serving temperature while keeping it visible and accessible to customers. Built from stainless steel with toughened safety glass panels, it is intended for front-of-house use in cafés, canteens, staff restaurants, and similar self-service environments where food safety and presentation need to work together.

In day-to-day service, the UM50 holds a range of hot grab-and-go items — pasties, pies, sausage rolls, and wrapped snacks — within a temperature-controlled cabinet. The humidity feature is a practical consideration: hot food held under dry heat deteriorates quickly, and the UM50 is designed to reduce that over a typical service window. Thermostatic control allows operators to set and maintain a consistent holding temperature, which matters both for product quality and food safety compliance.

From an operational standpoint, several features are worth noting:

• Rotating circular shelves allow customers to browse and select without staff involvement
• Illuminated interior improves product visibility in busier or lower-light servery areas
• Rear service door allows restocking without disrupting the customer-facing display
• Stay-cool door handles reduce burn risk in fast-paced front-of-house settings
• Fully portable and self-contained — no plumbing, extraction, or specialist installation required

Because the UM50 runs from a standard mains socket, setup is straightforward. It does need adequate surrounding space for ventilation and safe customer access, and rear access for restocking should be factored into any placement decision. Its portable design suits operators who reposition equipment seasonally or in response to changing service layouts.

The UM50 is well suited to low-to-medium volume grab-and-go operations: cafés, workplace canteens, convenience-style food service, and smaller hospitality venues. For high-throughput sites requiring continuous restocking throughout a full service period, a larger or multi-unit arrangement is likely a better match.

If you are weighing up whether the UM50 fits your service format and volume, we are happy to talk it through — the right answer often depends on operational details that are not always obvious from the product page alone.

The Lincat D5H/100S is a freestanding heated display cabinet designed to hold hot food at service temperature in self-service environments. It combines thermostatic heat control with a built-in humidity function, which together help maintain food condition and presentation throughout a service period without requiring constant staff intervention. The unit can also operate in ambient mode when heated service is not needed, giving operators a degree of flexibility across different parts of the day.

In a café, workplace canteen, or food-to-go setting, a cabinet of this type earns its place by keeping grab-and-go items consistently warm and visually appealing during busy periods. The self-service front doors allow customers to help themselves, which suits servery layouts where staff are occupied elsewhere at peak times. Toughened glass panels and fixed wire shelving keep the interior clearly visible, supporting product sales without additional merchandising effort from the team.

The main operational advantages in day-to-day use include:

• Thermostatic control sustains safe holding temperatures throughout service without manual adjustment
• Humidity function reduces food drying and helps preserve visual presentation over extended holds
• Self-service access reduces the need for staff attendance at the display during peak periods
• Ambient operating mode extends the cabinet's usefulness beyond heated service windows
• Extruded aluminium frame with a metallic silver finish sits comfortably in most front-of-house settings

The D5H/100S connects to a standard electrical supply and is designed for countertop or open servery placement rather than built-in installation. It is worth confirming your available counter space suits the unit's footprint before ordering, and positioning away from air conditioning outlets or cold draughts will help the cabinet hold temperature consistently during service.

This cabinet is well suited to cafés, workplace canteens, convenience-style food operations, and smaller contract catering sites where a compact self-service hot display is needed. If your operation runs higher volumes or requires greater holding capacity across a longer service window, a larger or multi-section model would be worth considering to ensure food quality is maintained throughout the day.

If you would like to talk through whether this cabinet fits your servery layout or typical service pattern, the team is happy to help before you place an order.

The Lincat C6H/75B is a counter-top heated display cabinet designed for customer-facing servery environments where hot food needs to be held and presented between kitchen production and point of sale. The curved toughened glass front and illuminated interior are practical rather than decorative choices — they make the contents clearly visible to customers without dominating the counter layout.

What distinguishes a capable holding cabinet from a basic one is humidity management. Without it, hot food deteriorates noticeably during extended service periods — drying out, losing visual appeal, and increasing waste. The built-in humidity feature on this unit works alongside thermostatic temperature control to maintain food quality across the full service window, which has both practical and food safety implications for operators running extended service periods.

Day-to-day, the unit is straightforward to work with:

• Rear sliding doors allow staff to restock and serve without disrupting the customer-facing display
• Two fixed wire shelves provide stable tiering across a range of hot food items
• Thermostatic control allows adjustment across different food types and holding temperatures
• Interior illumination supports product visibility in counter environments with variable ambient lighting
• The extruded aluminium frame and metallic silver finish are practical to clean during and after service

This is a plug-in electric unit with no water connections or specialist ventilation requirements. It does need adequate counter space and, where possible, positioning away from draughts or air conditioning outlets, both of which can affect consistent internal temperature holding. As with any counter-top display, ambient servery conditions have a bearing on performance.

The C6H/75B suits cafés, staff restaurants, food-to-go operations, and hospitality venues running self-service or assisted-service counters with a defined holding requirement. It is best matched to moderate-volume operations. Sites with significantly higher throughput or a need for greater display capacity should consider a larger-format model.

If you are unsure whether this cabinet fits your counter layout, service style, or holding requirements, we are happy to talk it through before you commit.

The Lincat C6H/100B is a counter-top heated display unit with a curved glazed front, designed to hold hot food at temperature between preparation and service in front-of-house settings. It combines thermostatic temperature control with a built-in humidity function and an illuminated interior, allowing food to be presented clearly and held in good condition at the point of customer selection.

Units of this type are a practical fixture in cafés, canteens, staff restaurants, and hospital catering departments — anywhere running a consistent hot food offer across a service period. The humidity function matters in practice: without some moisture control, exposed hot food dries out during holding, visibly affecting both appearance and palatability. Rear sliding doors allow staff to replenish and serve from behind the unit without disrupting the customer-facing display, which suits a busy counter well.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the key features translate into these working advantages:

• Thermostatic control maintains consistent holding conditions throughout service
• Humidity function reduces surface drying on food held for extended periods
• Illuminated interior improves product visibility and presentation at the counter
• Two fixed wire shelves provide accessible, straightforward display at serving height
• Rear sliding doors allow staff replenishment without disrupting the customer display

Installation is straightforward. This is a counter-top electric unit that requires a suitable mains connection and a stable, level surface with adequate rear clearance for ventilation. Positioning away from draughts and air conditioning outlets will help it maintain consistent holding temperatures during busy periods.

This unit is well suited to small and medium-volume operations where both food presentation and holding quality are priorities. It is not intended for high-throughput sites requiring rapid rotation of large volumes — for busier environments or where a wider range of products needs to be held simultaneously, a larger or multi-deck unit is worth considering.

If you would like to talk through whether this fits your counter layout or service style, the team is happy to help you think it through before you commit.

The Lincat C6H/75S is a freestanding heated display unit with a curved front profile and a self-service door. It is designed to hold hot food at consistent serving temperatures while remaining directly accessible to customers, making it a practical front-of-house unit for cafés, canteens, staff restaurants, and food-to-go counters where both presentation and food safety temperature need to be maintained across a full service period.

In a busy self-service environment, the thermostatic control allows operators to set a steady holding temperature and leave the unit to run without constant adjustment. This is particularly useful during extended breakfast or lunch services where food may be on display for a sustained period. The built-in humidity feature addresses one of the more common practical problems with heated merchandisers — food drying out during display — which affects both appearance and the customer's perception of quality. The curved toughened safety glass and aluminium-framed construction give a clean, professional finish that sits comfortably within a servery counter or café layout without drawing attention away from the food itself.

From an operational standpoint, the key advantages for front-of-house service include:

• Self-service door reduces counter pressure at peak times by allowing customers to serve themselves
• Humidity control helps maintain food quality and presentation throughout service
• Thermostatic holding delivers stable temperatures without manual intervention
• Toughened safety glass provides clear product visibility whilst protecting the display
• Compact curved profile suits servery counters where space is at a premium

The unit is electrically powered and intended for counter or floor-level servery positioning. Allow adequate clearance for ventilation and ensure customers have unobstructed access to the self-service door. It is worth confirming your available supply circuit is appropriate before ordering, particularly where the unit is being added to an existing servery with multiple electrical loads already running.

This model is well suited to small to medium-volume operations where a single-bay display meets daily throughput. Sites running higher volumes, or needing to display a broader range of hot items simultaneously, may find a larger-capacity unit more appropriate for the demands of their service.

If you would like to talk through whether this unit fits your counter layout or service pattern before committing to an order, our team is happy to help you work it through.
