These Securit liquid chalk pens are a practical writing tool for hospitality and catering operations that use chalkboard-style menus, table cards, pavement boards, or wall-mounted display boards. Each pack contains four white markers with a fine 2mm precision tip, giving operators clean, legible lettering suitable for daily specials, allergen notices, pricing, or directional signage.

The ink dries to a smudge-resistant, water-resistant finish — an important consideration in busy front-of-house environments where boards are frequently brushed past or exposed to splashes. When a menu change is needed, the ink removes cleanly with a damp cloth, making it straightforward to update boards between services without specialist cleaning products.

Practical benefits for front-of-house use include:

  • Fine 2mm tip for clear, controlled lettering on any scale of board
  • Water and smudge resistance once dry — reliable in high-traffic areas
  • Easy removal with a damp cloth — no additional cleaning products needed
  • Compatible with most pavement, table, and wall menu board surfaces
  • Pack of four keeps replacements to hand across multiple display points

These pens work across the range of Securit chalkboard products and are broadly compatible with other chalk-effect and porous board surfaces. They are not intended for use on standard whiteboards or non-porous surfaces, where removal can be more difficult — worth confirming before use on unfamiliar board materials.

Well suited to cafés, restaurants, pubs, hotels, and any operation that regularly updates handwritten display boards. If you use a large number of boards across multiple areas or need different tip sizes or colours, it is worth getting in touch to discuss the broader Securit range before ordering in quantity.

Frequently asked questions

Are these pens suitable for use on all types of chalkboard surfaces?

They are designed for use on chalk-effect and porous board surfaces, including pavement boards, table menu boards, and wall-mounted displays. Performance on non-porous or gloss surfaces can vary, and removal may be more difficult — it is worth testing on an inconspicuous area first if you are using an unfamiliar board type.

How do you remove the ink once it has dried?

Once fully dry, the ink wipes away cleanly with a damp cloth on compatible board surfaces. No specialist cleaning products are required, which makes it practical for regular updates between services.

Is a pack of four sufficient for a busy multi-board operation?

For smaller operations with a limited number of display points, a single pack of four is generally sufficient to keep spares on hand. Larger venues running multiple boards across different areas — such as a pub with bar, dining room, and entrance signage — may find it more practical to order in greater quantity to avoid running short during a busy period.
