This is a genuine Buffalo replacement top heatproof tray, designed specifically for the Buffalo Quartz Salamander Grill (CJ799). It is a like-for-like spare part intended to restore the unit to its original operating condition rather than a universal accessory.

In a busy kitchen, the heatproof tray on a salamander takes sustained punishment — direct radiant heat, grease splatter, and the general wear of continuous service. Replacing it with a genuine part rather than an aftermarket alternative helps ensure the fit, heat tolerance, and safe operation that the original equipment was designed around.

If you are unsure whether this tray is the correct part for your unit, or if you need guidance on other Buffalo salamander spares, we are happy to help you confirm compatibility before you order.

Frequently asked questions

Will this tray fit my Buffalo salamander grill?

This tray is confirmed as a genuine replacement part for the Buffalo Quartz Salamander Grill model CJ799. If you are unsure of your model number, it is usually found on the rating plate fixed to the rear or underside of the unit. We can help you confirm compatibility if needed.

Is it worth fitting a genuine part rather than an aftermarket alternative?

For components that sit in direct contact with a heat source, a genuine part is generally the more reliable choice. It is manufactured to the same tolerances as the original, which matters for both safe operation and correct fit. Aftermarket parts can vary in material quality and dimensional accuracy.

How do I know when the heatproof tray needs replacing?

Visible cracking, warping, or heat discolouration that affects the tray's structural integrity are the most common signs. If the tray no longer sits flat or securely in position, it should be replaced before further use to maintain safe operating conditions.
