The Royal Leerdam Splendor is an 80ml shot glass with an embossed diamond pattern across the lower half of the bowl. It is a straightforward, well-made piece of glassware designed for serving spirits, liqueurs, and shooters in bar and hospitality environments.
Royal Leerdam is a long-established Dutch glassware manufacturer with a reputation for producing durable, commercial-grade glass. The Splendor range reflects that — the construction is solid enough to handle the repeated washing, handling, and occasional knocks that come with fast-paced bar service, and the embossed detailing adds a degree of visual interest without compromising practicality.
From an operational standpoint, the glasses offer a few practical advantages worth noting:
- Dishwasher-safe construction suited to high-turnover bar environments
- Embossed lower half provides a more secure grip during service
- Supplied in a pack of 12, practical for stocking or replacing existing covers
- Consistent sizing supports accurate spirit measures and clean presentation
These glasses are well suited to pubs, bars, restaurants, and hotels serving shots or measures as part of a drinks menu. They sit comfortably in a mid-range position — more considered in appearance than a basic utility shot glass, without the fragility that sometimes comes with heavily decorative glassware.
If you are building out a full glassware range or need guidance on quantities for your covers, the team is happy to help you work through what makes sense for your operation.
Frequently asked questions
Are these shot glasses suitable for a busy pub or cocktail bar?
Yes. The Splendor is built for commercial use and handles the regular washing and handling that comes with high-volume bar service. The dishwasher-safe construction and solid build make them a practical choice for operators running multiple covers each session.
How many packs would a typical bar need to hold in stock?
It depends on your covers and washing cycle frequency, but most operators working a glasswasher with a short turnaround find two to three packs sufficient as a working stock. If you run longer intervals between washes or serve a high volume of shots, having additional packs in reserve avoids shortfalls during peak periods.
Can these glasses go straight into a commercial glasswasher?
Yes, they are dishwasher-safe and suited to commercial glasswasher cycles. As with any glassware, avoiding stacking them under excessive weight in the rack will help extend their service life.
